Lady Gaga to perform "Do What U Want" and "Gypsy" on SNL

It feels like they're throwing so much at the GP now. Like, I know this was their their plan - to get as many songs out to the GP in different ways, but idk maybe it'll become confusing? A lot of the songs sound like hits so they'd do great if they did a regular campaign where they promoted one single at a time. Katy Perry did this with Teenage Dream and that's why she's currently incredibly popular.

I feel like this is just front loading all the sales and won't add longevity like they thought it would. Katy Perry went single by single and two years after her album went number 1 it almost went number 1 again (it charted at #2 in 2012)

Yey, I'm so happy with the choices

I love both songs

they are done promoting Applause I guess, it's doing so well without the promo

Gypsy is Hair of ARTPOP

she will keep performing it even though it's not a single

can't wait

She surely does love performing Gypsy. And I couldn't complain at all since I consider it to be the best song on ARTPOP. Anyway, let's hope that this would signify that Gypsy would be released as a future single next year, preferably right in time for the GRAMMYs.

Another thing that just hit me is that it wouldn't hurt to put Gypsy on the map if it is to be the 3rd single. Radio will be much more inclined to add it if it's at least in the iTunes top 100. Kinda how Dark Horse has been hanging around top 40... that song is sure to be huge radio smash when it's released.

YAAAAS ! I'm tired of hearing Applause honestly (I mean, it didn't get a lot of promo, right, but let's the new songs bright!), and Gypsy is my fav from the album, so yeah, I'm SUPER happy with it!

If interscope don't choose Gypsy as the new single (or the 4th, for what I care), we'll have the final confirmation that they're completely dumb. Or deaf. Probably both.

Gypsy @ the Grammys + Brits sounds like a wonderful idea to me :flutter:

It's just incredible. It's like TEOG and MTN had s-x and Gypsy is the baby :flutter:

people are ridiculous if they think she wants to STILL perform applause.

it's time for the second and third singles. applause had its run. deal with it.

Two most basic songs on the album :/ but DWUW is high quality pop masterpiece so it's not that bad

BYE AT YOU CALLING SLAYSY BASIC!

Promoting the best songs of the album I see.

It would be nice if she also performs an ARTPOP/DWUW  medley in one of those tv shows.

ARTPOPSYCHOLOGY

Why not DWUW and Applause, though? :wtf:

Why would she continue to sing the lead single?? It's time to promote the album and other songs, in addition to helping Gypsy jump higher on iTunes since its the highest charting song on ARTPOP that isn't a single currently. Applause has enough sales that it's stable and will probably remain in the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 for another 2 or 3 weeks which is incredible.
