If this is what it takes to lose the tack-ons who are just here to be part of the popstar with the biggest selling power then so be it. The same thing happened to MJ forums and blogs when he died and his sales exploded in 2009, now thankfully almost all have left the fanbase to latch onto the next "it thing." I love being a part of Gaga's network, even if I wasn't feeling the BTW stuff (messages, not the music) as much as most. I, like many, didn't really get overly into the little monsters sort of die-hard-defend-her-till-our-deaths sort of thing, but I appreciate that she's incredible at what she does and tries to best include the hardcores as much as possible. She's been getting the worst wrap of any popstar today since the Madonna comparisons started; there's NOBODY else who can do what she does... every appearance, almost every single day of her life. Her dedication to her talent and her career, and what that results in, is soul-lifting for me, and much more important than her popularity with the GP on a given month or how often her song get played on the radio. It's great to celebrate when Gaga is commercially successful, but she won't always be on top. Maybe she won't achieve the super sales of BTW's opening week again, maybe she will again in four albums' time. Why would you miss the gold she delivers in the meantime? If you were only here because she was the biggest thing on the planet for 3 years then there's the door, you won't be missed.
