A lot of the people are angry that it won't sell more than PRISM or possibly Bangerz because they have been ****ting on Bangerz and PRISM saying ARTPOP will outsell them completely. Please don't think of me as delusional.......I'm trying to find a silver lining in this ****ty situation!!! :cry: Yet the ARTPOP app got 300k+ downloads.... Wasn't the point of the app to get the ALBUM too? Anyway the predictions have been fluctuating. Do they count towards the actual album sales for Billboard? Key word is "projected". They were short the last time her album came out. That's very reliable right? /sarcasm 2.) I'm so happy people are leaving (the fan base) because she's "flopping". The door is open!!! So many of you get caught up with the charts and the sales and awards etc. WHO CARES?! Evidently some of you care way more than Gaga and if you don't think that's a problem, it truly is. That isn't her concern so why should it be yours? Gaga could've sold 10K and STILL effortlessly **** on every female pop artist out now. Her talent is what I care about. It's always been that way and that will never change for me. "OMG the decay :cry: ". . . stfu. I've said it before and I'll say it again. When another female artist comes along that can sing, dance, write their own music and play ANY type of instrument, then we can have a discussion. Until then Gaga is still the one to beat. Supporter of her artistry, not the charts. (Granted it's cool when we top charts and set records, but that's not WHY I stay and support her. There's a big difference between the two.) Exactly my thoughts on this whole situation. I still cannot understand how she is made to compete with every other popstar when she is one of, if not the only ACTUAL musician within the pop industry. It baffles my mind that she is still slammed when she is the only popstar in charge of her whole artistry. I haven't read that in any review of ARTPOP, people don't give her props for actually composing her music. I think too much people treat her like a popstar, defined by sales, popularity and charts, when really she is an artist who chose pop music and pop culture as her medium. I used to stan for a semi mainstream band and there were never any discussion about the charts among fans. We didn't care about comments on blogs or reviews, we just enjoyed what the artist gave us and made our own judgment on things. It sure is nice when someone you love/admire is on top of the world but I actually love where she is right now: relevant and respected enough to participate in big projects and doing lots of interviews and all, but not ridiculously exposed. It makes her stand out I think and it leaves only the fans who like her for the right reasons and not because it's popular/cool to like her.
