Gaga has been the one travelling the world doing all the promo thus far, not Interscope lol I'm not giving them ALL the credit, but they are responsible for the massive promo and Eminem is also from Interscope and people were worried he would block her. Prism was predicted to sell around 500K the first week and it ended up being just over half that which is part of the reason they are predicting Gaga's sales numbers to be about the same. They predicted a little lower than Perry and Miley's numbers because their singles charted higher and they think that will correlate to album sales. Time will tell, but historically Gaga has sold albums better than Perry. Eminem is another story entirely. He has a large, predominantly male fan base who revel in his 'angry, white guy' persona and they buy any album he puts out. They don't care about his well-known misogyny and homophobia. They don't care and don't obsess over how the general public feels about him. They don't even care that he is now a middle-aged millionaire who may have not really had the tough childhood he's claimed. They just buy his music. Katy SMASHED with Roar, and came off of an album that was essentially her FM, and still sold under 300K. Miley has two hit singles, and a **** TON of controversy, and still only sold under 300K.
