DeleteMyAccount 11,881
Because she loves the music, not the bling. But I meant her team. Gaga may not care about charts, but her management does. Whatever though. As long as people get to hear the new music.
la fama 13
She might say she doesn't but lets be honest.. just look at how big the backlash was for Applause not going #1 ... it must be hard for her So hard that right before her next single she goes on a major outlash on twitter saying she doesn't give 2 ****s about it reaching #1 and that she didn't write for charts. You're still supporting her by buying it at H&M it's not like your stealing from her... Lets be honest, charts are for the fans, not the artist, all they do is give fans some sort of bragging right against other artists. If gaga really cared about charts she wouldn't have done this partnership. If gaga REALLY cared about charts she wouldn't have said she didn't care about them, she would have said she did. If she did say she cared about charts, I would go out of my way to buy it at Best Buy or something, but she didn't, so I'm buying it at H&M. Right lets stop buying her albums and singles. Who cares about sales anyway. Just illegally download her music. Uhh, if you buy it at H&M, she probably gets even more "sales" because of the partnership. HuntyBooBoo 0
Or if you're a real fan for the music, you could buy it anyway rather than trying to manage Gaga's bank account
FireBling 0
Billboard has comfirm that ARTPOP's sales from H&M won't count towards their chart... SOOO DONT BUY IT THERE GOO TO TARGET!! source: http://m.billboard.com/entry/view/id/72789 Hmm, I wonder if this applies to the Pop Up Galleries too?I also don't understand why Billboard not counting them? They so messy.
Mason 209
Well, this is kind of stupid. I feel like Billboard is always trying to screw her over somehow lol. Even though, I guess it's more Interscope's fault. Couldn't H&M begin reporting to that soundscan thing tho? Hm. Whatever. At least they told us beforehand, I was thinking of buying it there lol. WarriorPrince 1
Uhh, if you buy it at H&M, she probably gets even more "sales" because of the partnership. Not when it's cheaper.
lauramonster 267
I can't at some of you thinking that Gaga doesn't care about the charts, look at her tweets when she released applause.... Of course she cares, they measure the success and the impact of her work.
Quark 7,098
Because regardless of whether or not you what number the album is on the charts, the money still does count for H&M and Interscope. And money is ultimately what they want. why the f*** they allow H&M to sell the album if the sales won't count? I can't at interescope sometimes, really
Future Lover 2,588
But I meant her team. Gaga may not care about charts, but her management does. Whatever though. As long as people get to hear the new music. I know, I know. It was a joke. To me, it seems like she's using it to pave way for a future collab. The promo could be like: "The Lady is at it again. She teams up with H&M for a second time to announce their new line" etc...
Kayla 7,595
It's not about that. It's just H&M doesn't send their stuff to sound scan, which physically "counts" the items sold for the charts But it it's a specific amount set up and they know how many were sold, wouldn't it be easy to just report it? I guess that could get messy, though. :/

hater 32
This tells me that people are just out to get Gaga and ruin her sales...that's really stupid! There's no factual reason for NOT counting the sales of the album! Regardless of it being $10 compared to $12 or $13...people still are CHOOSING to buy the album!!! If this were ANY other artist, they would count it! Billboard... Did you even read the article? It has nothing to do with the discounted price... H&M doesn't count the sales... Like physically count..1...2...3 and report them to Billboard. They are not a music store.
FireBling 0
Or if you're a real fan for the music, you could buy it anyway rather than trying to manage Gaga's bank account Well whether u get it from H&M, iTunes or Target, Gaga will still make the same amount of money regardless if Billboard/Soundscan counts it or not. Using ur logic, we should all just download it illegally or get it from a bootlegger lol.
la fama 13
Not when it's cheaper. Ever think that other places are selling it at a higher cost because THEY get more money, not interscope/gaga? That's why it's $11 at Best Buy, yet $17 at Barnes & Nobles.
