Jec 0
this is annoying she did do the reverse warholian thing, just as the soup can seemed so out of place in the painting world, how do you make a soup can feel like art? but it was the whole idea that supported it, this is the exact opposite, all the subtle details, the multi genres that are all pop in one, the personal side of it, and many musical mini details that many people dont even notice, made it the anti soup can, how do you make art, feel like pop? it has to be subtle, there was a meltdown for having 1 ballad, noone is here for just artsy lyrics that talk about paintings, shes making her own art, not just referencing it THIS. Gaga is not Robert Frost. Gaga is not Haruki Murakami.

Adakam 2
They always forget that songwriting and musicianship is art in itself, so the album doesn't lack art at all because music IS art. Fools. Plus I love the lame attempt at bashing all the different types of songs, yet that's the point of an album, you can have concept albums, an album based on one sound or an eclectic album.  not just writing, but arranging, the album is filled with details, strings and bass in SD and ARTPOP, the progessive trip with theater vocals on MJH bridge, the multiple hidden vocals on many songs, and many more details that on the surface, noone would care if they didnt exist, the song would still have the same quality, but the fact that they are there, is the difference between a $100 dollar painting and a $100k dollar painting, they both decorate, they both probably have a painting of a woman smiling, they are both squared -_-, but the details, the style, the artist's input, that when you look at it, you recognize it, and makes it timeless, and the whole album screams GAGA, its all her on this
Celina 118
ugh tired of people saying shes all style no substance. thats miley, thats katy, thats any other pop star who thinks theyre provocative. if theres anything gaga has its substance also to call this album arrogant and undisciplined? gaga has shown nothing but discipline this era, thats her new mantra, and i fail to see how expressing your creative thoughts is self indulgent, just because some dont get it.  This  Also, if people can't find any substance and art in what Gaga is trying to do, that just says a lot about their own ability to comprehend it. Adakam 2
1+ Exactly. The reviewer is most likely a Madonna or Pink Floyd fan or something. Â as a Pink Floyd stan, ARTPOP shocked me, its beautiful, and every second of it was thought trough
Celina 118
Ugh another one who doesn't get Donatella's lyrics  We probably shouldn't even be surprised anymore, but it should be obvious from the tone of her voice right at the beginning that it's supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.
