Just curious, I wasn't actually here in GGD at the time although I was following Gaga etc. BTW era was great for some people, they loved it, and I want to respect that. Esp now that the era is over, I dont wanna kick a dead horse, but times of BIG turmoil were: A) Born This Way single release (It caused a lot of fights over people wanting her old dance music back) B) Judas single release (Controversy/struggling single) C) Edge of Glory video (Massive meltdowns) D) You & I single choice WW + You & I VMA performance (Massive meltdowns again) E) Marry the Night flopping + MTN video (both seen as big disappointments) F) Meltdowns over Gaga vanishing quickly after. I'm not saying a single was a good or a bad choice, and im not saying the videos were all bad. But at ALL of those points, which is almost the entire era if you can tell, there were fights/drama/anger/etc. on GGD and across her fanbase in general. If it was it wouldn't have been pulled from store shelves. hon FAME did way to better for any pop star it was pulled off not because of poor sales that's just how the industry works .... when the company get their money from thee product and saw that in order to continue to sale it they have to put bigger promo because after that big sales a lot of people already had it and the promotion would have been bigger so rather milking the **** out of it they decided to keep the money they earned If Gaga produced smash in the past few years that was FAME It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

And most of her fans from 2009/2010 have left it's become clear, and you could see it happening in 2011. Again, not saying it's good or bad, it's her choice. But she sacrificed a lot to change. If Gaga is only selling 40k less than Katy with this messy release, just think how well she could be selling if she had that kind of a team behind her. Katy's team comes with no artistic freedom, why do you think the video is winter-themed? Because it'll boost christmas sales. Why do you think they released Unconditionally? Music business is not her thing anymore, let's be real. People are just over her, and 2.5 years without new music was just stupid. Katy did it because her era ACTUALLY lasted 2.5 years. Beyonce can stay relevant because she's always in huge public events, Rihanna releases new album every year. Gaga?!! she just disappeared. This is the reality we should accept and live with now. After the overexposure of the BTW era, the massive world tour and her personal issues? Did you have a better plan?
