DWUW is a response to her critics in the media who constantly attack her and spread rumors about her- who "print that **** that makes her want to scream". So to purposely spread rumors rumors about herself could be a kind of performance art piece, like Sleeping With Gaga or whatever, to show how easily they spread and exaggerate BS. Michael Jackson actually did that at one point, when he couldn't take it anymore (not to get attention). I don't know why you immediately jumped to attention seeking- nobody who doesn't already care about Gaga is going to care to pay attention to the staffing decisions for her marketing/management team. Plus she did tweet this about the artRAVE: "It will reveal the miscommunications in our lives. We will no longer be able to side-step the consequences of what we choose to say."
