aaronyoji 2,054
it only ruins it if you let it, i didnt notice the audience very much, it was a beautiful performance. She should have performed something fun. (DWUW) People were there to have a good time, not to listen to Gaga singing a ****ty depressing ballad in a slurred voice. I bet a lot of the audience members were disapointed, I know I would be - Seeing Gaga perform for the first time in person with her putting on a mood-killer performance. I'd want to see her at her best, not remember her at her worst. Crying and ****, should have saved that for the tour. what a ****ty heartless thing to say. i am tired of people in this forum acting like theyre too cool to care about an honest to god ballad about perseverance. its a real song, its a real moment, and people like you who just want emotionless pop tunes ruin it. **** that, this fanbase needs a smack in the face starting with you..... germagaga 22
I played this song for my mother who lost her husband to alcoholism. She couldn't last a minute in and had to take off the headphones. The song is more powerful than you think; if you don't know addiction, you're not going to get it. I said that I would have preferred her perform DWUW and you're saying I just want emotionless pop tunes? You're calling DWUW an emotionless pop tune? I feel more emotion in DWUW then in Dope's slurred vocals.
GrandchildDavid 14
I feel bad cuz I was the one who screamed "WE LOVE ARTPOP" at approx 0:57 of the video. At one point I also yelled "GAGADAILY" but I don't think that got recorded in the video.

PaperIz 7,346
It was a wonderful performance wasted on a flop show with flop hosts and a flop audience. Human generated art
SKANK 14,288
If I have said it once I have said it a million times...Gaga knows her audience. At Good Morning America, she performed that Wizard of Oz local theater production crap to impress the Mother's getting their kids ready for school. At the VMA's she did quick change after quick change to keep the attention of the ADHD riddled twitter generation. And for the Youtube Music Awards she performed the perfect song. She sang Dope. Look at the event and the other performers, she was the only pop star. It was a crowed geared toward indie rock and hip/hop. Had she gotten up there and done some choreographed pop star shtick they would have laughed her off the stage. She showed her chops to a room of street cred obsessed hipsters. GagaMyBlood95 9,915
Unfortunately, I have to agree... It was such an emotional performance, I mean, you can see and hear it, and the audience was acting like she was performing Poker Face... But whatever..
