Antidote 95
No. The instrumental is great and Gaga's voice sounds awesome. It's just not the style of music many monsters want to hear when they buy a Gaga album, that's why she kinda had to expect the backlash

GagaDragon 10
I wonder if she was on any d--gs when she recorded it because it was really really really bad! Most HipHop/Rap is terrible nowadays and this is one of the worst i've heard in the past few years which speaks volume. For an album called ARTPOP, wtf was she thinking putting this sort of song on it? For all her "i'm different from the others" attitude recording a song like this is completely nonsensical. I would have preferred Cake over this piece of crap song, at least it was funny.

Fuzzyfishi 1
No :( I love Jewels N' Drugs, it's my favourite track on the album. It's really different to other trap songs; it starts off as trap-rap and progresses to electro-trap more and more with each verse. The chorus is a blend of pop, R&B and trap and the chord progression makes it sound immense! It's produced so well and I love the use of galactic synths, especially at the end of the refrain and the drum beat is pretty complex. The worst part is the lyrics, especially in the chorus, although the rhythm, harmonies and melody work really well with the instrumental. Overall it's a quirky song with a very catchy chorus. I reckon if a remix was released without Too $hort's verse, the break-down added in and T.I.'s verse replaced by a female artist, the song could be popular, especially in clubs and on urban radio. gagavsartpop 0
No, just no. I'm all for Gaga trying new things and experimenting, and while I have to command her for trying her hand at rap/urban music, it just fell flat and it was a complete mess. If the song had been better executed (only one rapper would've sufficed IMO, and Gaga needed to have more than just 1 verse, after all it's a freaking Gaga album and the song sounds more like T.I., Too $hort and Twista feat. Lady Gaga), that would've been a different story. Sure. It soo sounds like T.I. Too $hort and Twista feat. Lady Gaga when Gaga has a verse and all of the choruses... MillieBrown 0
From the mainstream - would you be here for that? Considering most of us on here don't care charts or sales and neither does Gaga from the looks of things. If she's not mainstream it means: Positives: - She gets to make music she wants - Full control of her career Negatives: - No TV performances or high budget tours/performances - Music videos on a low budget
EC96 29
I wasn't aware that people here didn't care about the charts Just kidding, but it depends on if you mean retire now, or in like 30 years time. If you're talking about her retiring tomorrow, she'll still be mainstream. She's too big not to be. I mean even now when she's 'floping' she's still making headlines. RAMROD 109,799
Too premature for her for it imho. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ hating pop music doesn't make you deep (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
degenerate 526
She would never, no matter what she says. She always says how she loves show-biz. She wouldn't be Gaga without the flashing lights. Plus a lot of her fans wouldn't have access to her anymore.

Irony being most of them wouldn't have discovered gaga if it weren't for her huge commercial success.

gagaisitalian 3,573
I hate when people say she can't have high budget videos or tours. Like, high budget doesn't mean ****. Lana Del Rey's BTD video is one of the most beautiful videos of the recent years (and visually beats any previous Gaga work) and that was "low budget". Sometimes not having too much money can be a good thing because it keeps a video from being too campy.
