I think it was promotion in Gaga's early days, perhaps when she was just Stefani, that was for her burlesque dancing or it could have been just promotion for her show with Lady Starlight. I thought about this since people always like to compare artists and wonder why a certain artist fits better with to certain demographic. I thought it would be interesting to check this with my own daugther that apart from Gaga loves Kesha. So here we go, the results are in: 1 Aura: too techno, dance tune but too noisy and would not miss it if it was not on the album. The hahahahaha is weird and needs to go. Would you wanna hear it on the radio: NO Overall 5/10 2 Venus: one of the best songs on the CD. Don't you know my ass is famous is funny. Makes you wanna dance and sing along to. Would you wanna hear it on the radio: YES Overall 10/10 3 G.U.Y nice dance song, it's just good. "I wanna be your GUYYYY" sticks to the head. (my note: she actually keeps humming it as well lol) Would you wanna hear it on the radio: YES Overall 9/10 4 Jewels & Drugs poop. The dudes need to go, I don't get it, why is it on the CD? Would you wanna hear it on the radio: NO Overall: 5/10 5 MANiCURE is cool, makes you wanna get up and dance. But has nothing that stands out. Just ok. Can't really say much bad about it. Would you wanna hear it on the radio: YES Overall: 9/10 6 Do What U Want it's ok but it's not really a dance song for me. It doesn't go anywhere, boring. Would you wanna hear it on the radio: YES it's ok but nothing special. Overall 6/10 7 ARTPOP text is good (my note: we actually speak English at home so she understands most of the things). stuff that stick is "free your mind ARTPOP you make my heart STOP' and the ARTPOP ARTPOP ARTPOOHOOP makes you wanna sing it in opera style. Do you wanna hear it on the radio: YES Overall 9/10 8 Swine awesommeeeee SWIIIIHIIINNEEEEE, wanna dance, power song. Love it! so catchy! (my note: I discussed the song with her already before wondering if she got the metaphor but she says that she would think of SWIIHIIINNEE when she would be bullied and would be annoyed, which shows, children probably see this from a different point of view) Would you wanna hear it on the radio: YES YES YES Overall 10/10 9 Donatella best song! funny part: but don't puke...it's ok. The intro makes me feel flawless (my note: when talking about her list she actually made this gesture saying: "I'm fabulous" Would you wanna hear it on the radio: YAAASSSS (my note: no joke it says this exactly ) Overall 10/10 10 Fashion great song, best part is the super long noooteeeee she sings. The dude is annoying, the French sounds weird. Funny: slay, slay slay, when they say that. Would you wanna hear it on the radio: YES Overall 10/10 11 Mary Jane Holland nice song, GO HOLLAAANNDDDD, would not wanna skip this song on the CD. Would you wanna hear it on the radio? YES!!! Overall 10/10 12 Dope it's very sad but beautiful. Makes me wanna cry, song I see people putting on their lighters on in concert and cry together. Would you wanna hear it on the radio: NO (too sad) Overall 8/10 13 Gypsy great song! makes me wanna try to sing so high as well but I don't reach it. I find it weid that the song is after Dope and almost at the end (my note: not sure about this one but hey childrens logic) Would you wanna hear it on the radio: very YES Overall 9/10 14 Applause expected more out of it (my note: I asked her what she meant by this and she says she wanted it to be a bit more freaky...for whatever that means). Funny parts are "nostalgia is for geeks" and "some of us like to read" (my note: she likes to read and her favourite t-shirt says "love geeks" which is why that part probably stood out to her).
