I think it has a lot of bad memories attached to it with the people who betrayed her and the whole Troy split and depression she went through while it was out. I really think she doesn't like it anymore tbh. Didn't she say she didn't like Telephone too? I disagree with MTN though, that was like her favorite BTW song next to BJ+AF. I also think this is one of her best songs, and the best one on ARTPOP. I don't see why she'd hate it, and if she does because of what happened, then I guess it's a little immature. I think she doesn't love Applause as much as she'd like to, because it was one of those songs that the label told her to include on the album, but maybe she has grown to love it. Who knows. And I don't think she "HATES" any of her songs, but she probably doesn't like some of them as much as she used to back then.
