I've never read thoughts and criticism phrased in such a beautiful manner :emo: I actually enjoyed reading that  I pretty much agree with where you are I think - ARTPOP is a fantastic album and it's not recieving the attention and care it deserves :noparty:

I agree. It is constructive without being rude or offensive.

I agree with you on this. It's very frustrating seeing other people around us release records and film music videos while we only have one. I know there were complications the past few months, but it's really a mess. It's funny because the blackout wasn't even annoying like it is now. The fact she's basically on a blackout with a brand new album is ridiculous. And before some say 'she's trying not to expose herself as much as she did with Born This Way,' she's nowhere to be seen at all with a new record... only to these obscure events. Nothing wrong with that at all, but really?  :wtf:

It's almost scary to know she will be touring this summer for an album that barely has any life in it. Eh. That's just how I feel about it all. Thanks for making a post like this in a calm matter. I agree with your post a lot.

Thankfully I have other artists to listen to and keep my time on, because she's too busy patrolling the internet. lol

This is really the most frustrating of all. I don't see why Gaga doesn't let us in into what's going on with her and what she's working on. It might be very interesting for us, even if we didn't get anything for months.

Worse than the total silence is her absolute vague messages that really don't give you any information at all except that apparently the era that we got so far was not what she wanted. I'd rather her not say anything, then :(

We're sitting here wondering what's going on.

It's definitely okay to feel this way.

I'm just glad you didn't go on a b---hy rant tbh. I can understand why you're upset and I mean I don't really have anything to offer besides maybe you should take a small "break" from Gaga, per say?

What I mean by this is you just don't pay full attention or any attention to her where abouts and all and then come back once she's ready to be going full force again.

I did it once with Gaga and it really helped. I limited myself to Gaga's music and that was it. When I came back I felt less bleh about it all.

It's just a suggestion though.

And I do have to say I agree. It doesn't necessarily frustrate me but it is sad that she isn't doing anything (that we know of) at this moment (well on a big scale, or album wise)

I hope she starts filling us in on things in the coming weeks....

I'd definitely feel better if she told us what she's doing.

I've been thinking of doing this, it's a good suggestion.  I never really followed Gaga closely until this era. I had heard so much about how great she is with her fans and was so interactive, etc, and I've been disappointed (obviously). She (and ARTPOP) have the potential to take over. I hope she, her label, her management, and whoever else is involved can get her there again.

I agree 100% with you! I don't find your post offensive AT ALL! Your voicing an opinion many of us have, but some are afraid to say due to fans and GAGA herself reprimanding people for being "rude/negative" about how things are going with ARTPOP. :what: Are we supposed to ignore it and pretend like everything is fine? :awkney: I'm sorry if some want to be flowers and butterflies all the time when it comes to talking about Gaga, but if we all felt that way...what good would it do? :later: This is foremost a forum for people to have a right to their opinions whether you agree with them or not :ohwell:...Gaga should lighten up with the "promote online kindness" posts on LM.com and focus that energy and time to working on ARTPOP! :tea:

I don't think it's that she doesn't care.

She's already said that she's feeling upset for reasons that are quite obvious. Her fans have started to disrespect her choices as an artist and it that probably had a bad effect on her. Her fans are the most important thing to her, but now they seemed to have turned on her.

Also, Gaga has worked very hard until after The Voice. She did a lot of things before then, and I think this started out as a break from working and to finish shooting DWUW. Now that things have gotten a little off track, she's probably trying to figure out what she's going to do this era. She has to plan for the 3rd single and artRAVE. As for the video, I think it's too late to release it. If it does get released, it will probably be through the app.

I do agree that the silence is a little frustrating. But, all we can do at this point is be as patient as we can until she's ready to tell us what's happening.

It's extremely frustrating and honestly kind of embarrassing. I understand that Gaga may be going through some stuff right now, but it feels like she's letting this era go; the era that we waited 2 years for and she made seem like was going to be revolutionary. Now don't get me wrong, I still believe the ARTPOP era could end up being incredible, but I've been underwhelmed so far.

I wouldn't be surprised, I've had the same thoughts. It would be sad, but I don't think it's over just yet.

I completely agree, I just want her to stay connected to us, to say something or give us some update on things like the DWUW video and/or next single, etc.

She clearly has time to tweet (she just did today) so how hard is it to just say something like "DWUW video still being worked on", or ANYTHING related to what we're wondering about :I

I for one did this exact thing pretty much a whole year before ARTPOP was released, and it definitely made me like the new music a lot more. BUT I definitely DO NOT want to do this again just two months after the album came out, I should be completely interested in her actions at this point (which I'm not, like most people) :I

I agree with a lot of this.  It's frustrating as a fan.

My big hope is that Gaga is really taking advantage of this time to not only regroup and get back to a healthier mental/emotional state, but to put together a great plan for the rest of the album cycle.  She's certainly implied that's what's going on and I do hope that's true, but of course I worry that's not actually the case (or what Gaga thinks is a huge comeback with this album doesn't translate that way at all).

That's great if she is taking advantage of this time off in her private life/behind the scenes.  I wish she could do the same publicly, too, though???  A random blackout could be a really cool way to create a lot of hype.  Completely disappear from social media and paparazzi, leave some mysterious messages, release some cryptic but exciting audio or video clips so that everyone knows that something big is coming.  With the way its been handled so far, it doesn't feel much like a blackout as much as it feels like giving up???  And I know that's not necessarily true, but that's how it comes across sometimes.

Like imagine if she had randomly disappeared from twitter, removing the images on there like during the pop emergency (remember how hyped we were just with that??), with just a vague but promising tweet to hype us.  And on her website was nothing but a countdown timer, maybe counting down to a surprise performance (and the kind of performance she's been wanting and promising since she announced the album title) or a video release (a video that she actually WANTS to release) or additional music or something.  And maybe every now and then a very short video would appear beneath the timer to get us excited... These are all kind of silly suggestions, but my point is that it doesn't take that much work to get a fanbase excited over very little and actually might work better than this kind of weird interaction going on with fans and media while she meanwhile has said nothing about her actual work.  If she really does want to hit a reset button with the album cycle, I hope she does do it in a powerful and exciting way instead of just kind of awkwardly picking up where she left off.

So, idk.  I feel like this blackout would be much more bearable and interesting if she would give some indication that it's happening because she's planning and preparing to get the ball rolling.  I'm more worried than excited at this point, though I remain hopeful.  It's frustrating to watch great opportunities pass by without knowing why they weren't taken, I definitely agree with you there.  Hopefully it will all be worth the wait, for us and Gaga.
