theMonster5 74
How about the mention of Marilyn, Judy, Sylvia? I see the lyric at Gagapedia. When I have s-x I want a little light so I know where to touch and what's going on. Make sure I insert into the right hole. LOL Why this lyric "She looks good but her boyfriend says she’s a mess"? Her boyfriend is demeaning her?
bryan 646
This song is about Gaga dancing in the dark. Deal with it. lol jk I just wanna use that GIF :3 but I'm not really sure of the real meaning behind the lyrics tho awkward...
Tycho 3,694
I remember being 13/14 and tweeting "I love to Dance In The Dark ;)" and someone replied "YOU LIKE TO HAVE SEX? WHAT?" I had no idea that's what it was actually about
Daredevil 2,133
Find your freedom in the music, find your Jesus (salvation), find your Kubrik (interpretation)
Didymus 34,380
No one knows, basically. She only tells us little bits of her own interpretation and she could be lying about those all the same. Find your own meaning How about the mention of Marilyn, Judy, Sylvia? I see the lyric at Gagapedia. When I have s-x I want a little light so I know where to touch and what's going on. Haunts 7
How about the mention of Marilyn, Judy, Sylvia? I see the lyric at Gagapedia. Her boyfriend is demeaning her? Well, Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland and Sylvia Plath all ended up dying prematurly. They were quite known for having troubled personnality, Judy was alcooholic and addicted to d--gs, Marilyn was addicted to men (more like the comfort of men really) and history wants to depict Sylvia Plath as plain neurotic. The three of them had tumultous relationships with men as well, Judy and Marilyn married multiple times and some blame Sylvia's husband for her suicide. I think Gaga wanted to say that we all have our demons and at least it's good to be able to dance in the dark, if not in the light. You need to work your blond Benét Ramsey, to live as you wish like Liberace. To be as flamboyant and fierce as you wish like they both were. Find you freedom in the music, find your Jesus, find your Kubrick. You might need religion or music, or art or any other obsession (Kubrick is known for having quite a cult following) to develop your sense of self and reassurance, and that's okay. Sometimes you need darkness to see the light. The song opened the Monster Ball and that was the main message of the show: free yourself.

nomorescheisse 0
This question might be a little inappropriate so I didn't want to make a whole new thread about it, but did Gaga really get engaged or even married to Lüc in 2010? I was playing the Lady Gaga quiz on the QuizUp app and one of the questions was "Who did Lady Gaga get engaged to and married in 2010?" and the answer was Lüc Carl. I'm pretty sure that's a rumor at most?

I read that they had a commitment ceremony, which sounds an awful lot like a wedding, but minus the legal aspect? No idea if it's true.

MaybeKermit 5,048
Whenever I watch, for example, MB or BTWB videos on youtube, I keep asking myself if Gaga's band really plays live? The drummer seems legit, but that guy with the guitare is just...wtf? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4123vzCDS4 1:10 It's really weird, because it does sound live... + It's my FIRST THREAD!!!
