Mary Jane Holland and TEA.

Then when we got more titles, I was excited to hear Donatella, Brooklyn Nights, Temple and the "studio version" of Swine.

The public is way too unpredictable for anyone to predict what is going to do well and what is going to flop.

Prime example: Everyone thought that Do What U Want would absolutely smash and maybe even go #1, it was a guaranteed Top 3 hit in our minds. But it didn't smash like everyone thought. It's doing well, but it's not the total smash we thought it would be.

This whole thread is based on over-exaggerations and huge generalizations :toofunny:

Yes Madonna said "reductive" in 2012. No it wasn't very nice. No Gaga doesn't care anymore. The end.

This. :toofunny:

Whispering

For the most part, Stans aren't reliable prediction makers. They are voting with their hearts and emotions.

I knew Royals was different and extremely catchy the first time I heard it. I knew it was going to be a massive hit when my timeline exploded with talk of the song in the upcoming days and weeks. When you see a song shoot to the top of iTunes, before it is ever released or promoted, and everyone you know is talking about it and sharing it on social media, that's a big sign. When a random song from an album, that isn't a released single, stays in the top 50 on iTunes for months and months, that's a sign. That's what happened with Radioactive.

Don't look at what the stans are saying, look at what is going on with the general radio listeners and buyers. That's usually the best way to predict a big hit.

I may not be able to predict when an otherwise hitworthy song is going to have things going against it (like not having a video) but I can pretty much always tell when a song is going to be a dire flop. :ohwell:
