craig 680
I know one thing, Dr. Luke won't be in style forever. Whoever lasts longest will have to experiment and find new formulas for success several times. Gaga may have experimented before it was necessary, but the Roar formula won't last forover and the public doesn't seem to accept ballads from Katy (the direction she likely wants to go). ThisGuyTony 31,942
We're supposed to take them seriously after they brought up the false $25 million thing at the end? :usrs:
Zach Monster 0
I hate it when people say Gaga should make "radio-friendly" songs. Let her do her own ****. This. Gaga's making what she wants to make. There's not a problem there. Idc if she makes radio-friendly songs or not, as long as she's making music. Truth 90
I don't agree with this review, because this one has nothing to do with the real criticism. I assume it's just a subjective view and it's ok, if someone wants to write.... but for me it would be the waste of time. However, I agree with most of the reviews, not all of them are positive, but at least they clearly point out what is wrong and what is good.

ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Theres so much hate for Venus's lyrics... They are so much more clever than the average person thinks. It just screams "Gaga" with every part of it. Its about s-x, lol. Its not random line followed by random line. And i think the hooks are some of the best on the album, which is an opinion ofc. So to each their own... I dont see how shane can claim a song is "deliberately" anything, when he doesnt know the person. I really mainly agree with some earlier posts.. this rumor about her not accepting help from anyone and being like "positive feed back only!" is just... kind of ridiculous. For a person as intelligent as Gaga, i think we aren't giving her any credit by continuing that rumor. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
What is OBAMA 0
after one really successful album you forget that people can actually help you. I think Lady Gaga's in that phase where I can do everything, and I did everything on Venus... and truly all of us are thinking, yeah I can tell.. Four Choruses and all of them are messy and awfully produced. All Gaga needs is to keep the art, and keep her visuals... but let other people in, and try not to be a one person show, because I feel she's under the impression that having help is a bad thing." there's so many things wrong with the whole post but THIS part is FLAWFREE
MonsterOfSpain 8,320
Yes What Gaga didn't mention in that SNL skit was that while Beyoncé was empress of the world, Kety was Deputy Empress, so yes, she will outlast Gaga Lady Gaga thorugh her music, visuals, fashion and performances has already made a contribution to the music industry and her name will be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame one day. The extremely big sales numbers, tour revenues and awards are nothing but a side effect of her work. She aims to be judged and remembered by her art, not by the grade of success she achieves. I don't know even where to star. First of all, her name (alongside with The Black Eyed Peas and David Guetta) is associated with the EDM revolution of 2008-2009, the time when the music with a straightforward nightclub nature paved its way to the radio and mainstream appeal. The influence of this trend on the airwaves is undeniable. I know it's not because of Gaga that EDM became so popular, but the way she masterfully combined electronic sound with retro influences and catchy pop hooks certainly had its effect. Even Billboard in the article with Redone interview described how many DJs became producers. No other star since that time caused such of a stir in mass media. She became the first artistic phenomena of the social internet generation, building her fanbase and Fame through YouTube, twitter, MySpace and Facebook. Even the simple statistics in searches and the numbers of articles published on Gaga in 2009-2011 will reflect the idea that her rise to the stardom was sensational. She got so much attention for what she was wearing, but she also made people a--lyze her work, performances and pay actual attention to the material she releases. The Gaga fever back in the days was exceptional. To be honest, I believe the main Gaga influences on the industry are theatrics in entertainment, which she loves so much, and her re-invention of the music video format. And also fashion! (looking good and feeling fine ) Under theatricality I understand the fact that she gave a breath to some new energy in the show business, making people think of the "show" part, too. She inspired weirdness among fellow pop stars and a new approach to the entertainment - more fantasy in the music! Also, I believe she completely redefined the meaning of a music video for the song. She turned the release of her every music video into a big event and a little sensation from Paparazzi to Alejandro. She reminded people how important the visuals are in art, how music video is a way to explore the deeper meaning of the song and give the song a new vision. The music videos were reconsidered as one of the biggest promotional tools for the song due to the rapid growth of YouTube. But Gaga started it all: Bad Romance was the first YouTube video ever to cross 200,000,000 views I won't say a word about her fashion influences just... because. The legacy of this can't be disputed because of the jokes about meat dress and "You look like Lady Gaga" phrase to describe the out-of-this world outfit and "something Lady Gaga would normally wear" phrase to describe a fashion line. What's cool with Gaga is that she is recognized through her contribution to the industry, through pushing some boundaries or re-pushing them. She doesn't want to be remembered because she was successful or recognized through the number of No. 1 songs - this is what I love about her so much You always slay so hard. TheFame Monster 9,000
If Gaga goes back to her roots(TF/M) for the next album, she'll win the GP back and easily outlast Katy.
Brown Eyes 0
It's very possible. Katy is relentless and seems to take her relevancy seriously. Katy's music, lyrics and studio vocals are vanilla as hell and I don't even like them but at least they're not offputting, and she has a few undeniable hits on her album at least. It helps that she works with the best people in the business instead of (for example) amateur DJs. She's very clearly here to stay. I don't see her sabotaging her own carreer like Gaga did. Like the fact that Gaga thinks "Onion Girl" is acceptable says it all. The difference between them is: Katy wants to rule the world, Gaga seems content driving Born Brave Busses for fans It'd be such a shame if it happened, but it does seem very likely atm
Phoenix 17,395
Yes that's right. She should be just like other pop b---hes. Get into the system, make pop/catchy tunes and be boring for the rest of your life. Where's originality in that? 💎

MonsterOfSpain 8,320
Those comments which compare the situation to Cyndi vs. Madonna situation sound interesting but I don't believe this case needs to be the same. Which comments? Gaga's Madonna and Katy's Cyndi tho
