It is something I think successful people get a lot of **** about. Since they're loaded, should it be assumed they live bubble gum, Xanax cloud lives? Humans are still fragile creatures.

Perhaps, that was what the painting of the demon bird was about. Expressing raw emotions can feel like an exorcism... Like an explosive rant people do all the time. Ever had this intense need to make a confession? Or even write something out that you'd burn in retrospect? The mind is an awesome and terrible thing.

I know what you mean... I do think the painting has to do with this. Of course, we don't know what goes on in her mind, but I'm hoping that whatever is going on isn't too serious and that the venting + painting helped relieve some of the pressure. Regardless, I think it's a good thing she's being so open about this and finding ways to express her pain, whether or not she makes it public. To be honest, I see keeping your pain bottled up or trying to disregard it, no matter how big or small an issue might seem, as a form of mental abuse... which I'm guilty of myself, so I'm certainly not blaming anyone.

I don't know what's happening with her, but she seems to have depression, her lately post on LM

 

 

Depression is just like any season, it will change, and before you know it you will see the first flower blooming. Then another. Then another. Before you know if your whole life will be in bloom. And you'll no longer remember the winter.

 

so it must be really hard for her right now. But all this negativity she is talking about and asking for being respected an left alone i don't really get.

 

She has been playing some ARTPOP Songs in her car for a year and teasing her fans that way, ofcourse some wanted ARTPOP as soon as possible. She has been talking about Art and Pop all the time, something like "when pop sucks the teets of art" and much more, so ofcourse everyone has expected much more than what we got, what is almost nothing. She/Interscope changed the 2nd single like they did with TEOG and ofcourse it would have been mess, cause look at it, its just a mess.

 

And at some saying "she is doing this just for you... blah blah blah blah", i have to ask are you really that naive? Is she giving it to you for free? Has she asked you to come over to her place and listen and discuss it with her? Has she giving you free concert tickets? She is not doing this for me, or you, she doesn't even know you. 

 

So what exactly is so negative about what i have pointed out? It just the reality... we should't have thrown it all the time at her face but it still doesn't change the truth. I've never seen anything full of hatred here on GGD and most fans are really exaggerating and this positivity nonsense, which is just denying everything what went wrong. As she said it herself "freedom of love, not freedom of speach". 

 

And even now she still keeps on hyping everything up. The ARTPOP Era is just beginning and she will show us her vision that she has planed over past 2 years... well we will see.

 

Do you guys remember BTW Single? The Cover, the songs? Internet was full of hate at the time towards her. Was it cause of Madonna, different kinda music, or because she said "This is the album of century", although she said it only to her fans and i have defended her all the time. This time i'm watching everything from the distance and she needs to be stronger again, she needs to ignore the publicity or her work will suffer under it.

When I was super depressed during college, I learned about this and it explained what was going on in my mind perfectly. Maybe Gaga has experienced these thoughts as well the past few months. But within her universe, self also includes her career as a superstar, world also includes her fans, and the future also includes her legacy in the music industry.

Everyone goes through times where they just feel like someone is pulling their legs while trying to tread deep water. She is probably just going through a tough time, which from recent experiences that we know of - negative press, hate from her own fans, problems in professional+personal life, she's bound to be mentally unstable at the moment and that's completely normal. But, she's got amazing people around her and I'm sure she's got the support she needs to get through whatever it is she's going through right now.

I'm just saying that she got so much more "negativity" in the past and she stood above it, why she is having a meltdown right now i cant understand at all. We all get sometimes critized in our life, is it our boss, partner or someone else.

Ofcourse, but for love she should just get away from the internet cause it's harming her and if she has some really good friends they would take all her electronic devices and let her first heal in piece and quite, so her spirit can rise from the ashes and give her back the strenght she always had and so many (me too) crave for.

Sometimes people are more sensitive than usual, or all the stress adds up, or experiences can make them change how they normally react to things. It could be anything. I understand what you mean, but she seems to be dealing with much more than negativity, and that could have something to do with it. Sometimes you just have to let go of someone's mistakes temporarily when they're going through a rough patch, you know?

I agree that she should pay more attention to her word choice, though.

Freedom of speech means that, as a citizen of the United States, you won't face criminal charges for speaking your mind. There is nothing in the Constitution that guarantees us against social consequences for what we say. There are consequences in society or in the work place for the things that come out of our mouths. If you go into the bosses office tomorrow morning and call him every name in the book and you get fired, your freedom of speech would not have been violated. You would get fired because your boss didn't like what you said about him and nothing more than that.

 

There are rules and guidelines on websites and fan boards. If this internet bully's freedom of speech was truly taken away, he would be in jail or worse, that is what freedom of speech actually means. This person violated the policies of the website, therefore they are not allowed to post there anymore. That isn't taking away their freedom of speech. They weren't arrested or put in jail. They are free to go on another site the very next minute or take to twitter and spew more "i hope u die" messages until they turn blue in the face. No one took away this individual's freedom of speech!
