The panel was talking about ARTPOP saying the problem was the song's "just weren't very good" and she interupted by saying she actually thought the sonngs she heard such as Applause and Do What U Wan't were really good. It was a way for me to say how Gaga, most of the time, is trying out different things than whatever everyone else is doing. Also, You and I is not really a ballad, it more of a straight out country rock song. And even if you still think is a ballad, the song still sounds different compared to whatever Adele was doing at the time. Finally, I understand that following trends are good opportunities to succeed, at least commercially. But I feel like Gaga is not that type of artist. Commercial success doesn't necessarily gives you longevity and or a legendary status. Not really. You and I was released at a time when ballads were massive sellers back in 2011, thanks to the rise of Adele. Being aware of the current scenario of the market isn't something that should be lambasted. Though "always" isn't really good either since not all trends last for a long time. Like, shes not crazy in love with her but, she defends her, usually. Its usually her table that is harsh on her. So idk dont flame her or anything Lol She really isnt a hater at all.
