Carlitos 99
I'm sure the GP would love tbh, the pre-chirus and chorus are super addictive.
capso 0
Probably because it's a super weird song And like someone already said, you probably either like it a lot or don't, but I want it to be a single so badly!!
Celina 118
she'll be fine, she's rich as piss and the #2 higest paid singer int he world. She's depressed and she'll get over it. get back to work and gives us an amazing ArtRave no more excuses Money can't buy happiness. If she really IS depressed, you shouldn't expect her to just "get over it." That phrase alone is so insensitive, not even counting the second part of the post... I understand, that sort of thing can be depressing after she works so hard for her fans like it's some hardcore belief, like she's the Joan of Arc of pop music. I love and envy her passion. Could she really be struggling with some sort of mental issue as well? Someone made a thread about melancholy earlier. Could she be dealing with clinical depression and masks it with by being a workoholic, singing, expressing it through her art? Her post has been mentioned, but she also commented on a LM post saying she has struggled on and off with depression, so that kind of adds confirmation I guess. Seems like it could be a combination of that & stress from the situation with the video and whatever happened behind the scenes/those who let her down. I think it could have made her more sensitive to negativity, especially from the fan base. It's all speculation though, and I think she seems more positive than she was a few days ago. It's also possible that she just needed to rant and get it all out.
Der Meister 3,000
To be honest, I think that the negativity from the fans can be traced back to the beginning of the Born This Way era. I remember how everyone expected this super modern mega anthem, basically a modern day 'Thriller' but about self-empowerment. What we actually got was a pop-disco 80's record with a slight gospel sound. It was an incredible song but not what the fans wanted. And that was the moment that the fans decided that whenever things didn't go how they wanted, they would complain until Gaga caved and just did the things that they wanted, not what she wanted. This. And all the mess that came after that
capso 0
Her fans have never been this vicious, she's never left GGD before. This combined with personal struggle and evident mental issues results in #SadGa :(
JustPokeHerFace 2,564
Venus got mixed reviews at best when first released (DWUW and Dope both got critical acclaim). When Venus was performed in different countries, it barely rose on iTunes. These are pretty good indicators that it wouldn't do too well on its own, it would need a phenomenal music video to do well. JustPokeHerFace 2,564
Venus would not do well on its own for a variety of reasons. It got mixed reviews when released (DWUW and Dope got critical acclaim btw) and did not do too well on iTunes. When performed in different countries, it barely, if ever, rose on iTunes, which is a good indicator that the GP didn't like it too much. It would need a phenomenal music video to be successful. I like the song, I just don't think it would do well as a single. But if Gaga wants to, then she can Do What She Wants.
LibraLove 1,279
So, on tonight's episode of Chelsey Lately, the discussion/joke table starte to discuss Gaga's recent posts on LittleMonsters.com. Of course they made jokes and puns including the very overdone transgender/hermaphrodite joke. But Chelsey Handler, the host, reported something that caught my ear. She said that ARTPOP only sold 600+ thousand copies. Is this really true? Is there an accurate number? Maybe, hopefully she was just talking about in the US alone.
