At the beginning of the era, I wanted her to play it safe and work her way back onto the radio & into the GP, but after DWUW, it's obviously not working. She needs to do whatever the hell she wants based on the song, not whether or not it's safe, and just let things go however they go. I'd rather her give us videos and singles she's passionate about than safe songs she doesn't want to release because she feels like she has to.

Those saying Venus won't do well on the charts, do you know? Do you really know?  :later:

EXACTLY! People act like they know for sure what song will become a hit and what song will flop.

This is not the way to think though. You are basically saying Gaga should follow trends instead of Gaga creating her own trends. Gaga has always been a trend setter and I don't think Gaga thinks the way you do.

Not really. You and I was released at a time when ballads were massive sellers back in 2011, thanks to the rise of Adele. Being aware of the current scenario of the market isn't something that should be lambasted. Though "always" isn't really good either since not all trends last for a long time. But avoiding the trends "always" could be regarded as ignoring the opportunities altogether, doesn't it?

Shadow

She seemed to poke fun at herself, be carefree, and happier earlier last year. Even after the surgery, she has Taylor by her side, a loving family, and her first single and album did well, even though people had super expectations on it. She also has many fans that are so loyal, they'll watch her sleep for hours, wait around for her in the subzero temperatures, and you could name the extent they'd go... Did Troy Carter leaving hit her that hard? Is there something else we're missing in the last few months? Or is the negative media or response from the fans really bother her?

Remember when Gaga used to say, "Now dance, mother****ers," at her concerts and not give a ****? And command the stage fearlessly? As successful as she is, where is this insecurity coming from?

Don't worry about her always remember what she said...

“What are you talking about 'pressure?' I'm great under pressure. I'm a warrior. I'm Rocky, round 12.â€

Probably because her own fans have basically ripped her to shreds.

People have ripped her to shreds since she started. Do you think when she talks about betrayal, she's also talking about her fans?

Polarizing music comes with risks like that, right?
