It's the saddest part of Gaga's career for me - unrealized success. But those what if's won't help. I think she, as a highly creative person, didn't wish to stay with Fame theme anymore (TFM was like an addition to The Fame)

She was very ready for BTW era

Yeah, I would agree. Also, she was on top of the world back then, and felt invincible. I think she thought Born This Way would take the world by storm, which it kind of did for a few weeks, but then all the backlash started to kick in.  That's why I wish she would have waited a year or so to release the album. I think people needed a slight break from her.

I sense it would've been an epic and super-edgy video, and a feminist anthem

Am I the only one who gets complete and total life from "Monster"? That song rules my life to this day

I still really don't quite get why Gaga chose Alejandro over DITD. I guess she just wanted to do something unexpected instead of what everyone was ultimately going for. Dance in the Dark, regardless of whether it became a single, is still one of her most iconic songs and would've been an absolute smash if you ask me. But I guess it'll just remain as a fan favorite and a great album track.

I've always felt Beautiful Dirty Rich would have done so well back during The Fame days.

Wasn't it a single though - promo single at least?

You're not. Literally the first Gaga song I actually fell in love with and still adore to this day. :worship: It's actually one of my top favorite songs of hers in general. :)

ARTPOPSYCHOLOGY

"I just hope fans do not start criticizing ARTPOP because Gaga admitted it wasn't her full vision realized"

I thought the same today

I wonder how we're all going to look back on this album when Act II is released :ohno:

People are acting as if ARTPOP is done and over, it was released less than two months ago, she simply stated that there has been issues with her management regarding ARTPOP and over the next few weeks and months it will finally come to fruition, buckle up monsters, get ready for GAGA MAYHEM.

Possibly a promo? Definitely not a radio single in the US.

I'll never get what people see in Monster. Was my least favorite song on TFM until I got tired of DITD a few months ago.

I have to apologize for being so rude earlier. sorry!

You don't have to apologize  You gave your opinion and I acted like a child by quoting something not really related to the topic. It was totally my fault ;)

I think people always cling to The Fame Monster and say it was her best because the album, theme, videos, and fashion were so cohesive and conceptual. Of course, the album is amazing too. But I think that's why people claim it's her best work, because the music was great, the videos were flawless, and the concept was present throughout the era.

That being said, I think ARTPOP is her best work and also has the most replay-ability. Also, based on Applause, she may give us her best music videos yet with this era.

Yeah, I actually agree. :) I always loved all those strange chants from the mysterious guy in the background and the bridge literally slays me every time. I've always dreamt of what that video might've looked like too, crazy probably, but I guess we'll never know for real, haha. Ah well.

If she didn't give us snippets and swinefest didn't happen and the first time we heard the album in whole in full was when we bought it, it would have the potential to be. But when the album was officially released a lot of the songs I just felt tired of it already. I really don't have a problem with J&D and Fashion and ARTPOP was actually a great album but it didn't have that WOW factor when I listened to the album from start to finish.

I don't think HML would've done as bad as everyone thinks it would've done

If HML was the 2nd single, i think it would've done quite well
