PMKKARDASHiAN 8,570
I totally agree BTW was very inspiring for me as a fan and MTN BTW GH Judas Scheiße YAI and TEOG were perfect but the rest of the album was too preachy and dark and just not fun... TF TFM and ARTPOP have songs that honestly I connect to on a deeper level and are fun to listen to at the same time, I don't like this stigma that fast songs or fun songs cannot be deep or meaningful, I thought that's what Gaga was all about. That was the whole reason I stanned for her in the first place Boiling! I don't need a song to tell me how to feel, it needs to evoke that on its own. live performances of paparazzi bring me to tears. Alejandro gives me life every summer as I blare it in my car. Donatella makes me feel like a free b*tch. BTW...makes me want to sit in a corner and contemplate my life choices. I'm so glad I found you haha
tristessa 0
Thank you! At the time it was sonically fresh and ground breaking. Generic artists don't just fall from the sky and take over the world. It only sounds generic to some because after it came out, everyyyone started making music that was heavily influenced from it. This album changed the direction in which music was going. Respect your elders. Also, TFM > TF=ARTPOP>>>> BTW and the lessers will deal Yep, I totally agree. Time changes perceptions I suppose, but it was so fresh when it came out, sonically very exciting and new even though it was a sound that had been left in the past- it really changed the game at the time. Full of hits and truly the perfect debut album from a rising superstar (not even to get started on how flawless the era pretty much was, the videos, the fashion>>>>). Respect. :queenga:

Gov Hooka 8,008
Born This Way just has so much more depth, darkness, and grandness to it that I love it so much. But ARTPOP is my second favorite album

PMKKARDASHiAN 8,570
Haha same here Paparazzi and Bad Romance always breathe life into me I don't understand the backlash bad romance is getting? That jam still slays. I think others are pressed nothing is topping it, so they are tearing it down in their own minds in the vein attempt to dethrone it as gagas single most iconic song
ManuelMonsterr 0
This. I know a lot of people within the fan base say BTW helped them through dark times and that's terrific, but for me personally, BTW almost ruined me as a fan. #sorrynotsorry Safe for a few songs I stan so hard for, I haven't given BTW a second thought since late 2011. I totally agree BTW felt like a let down after the first week I felt Unsatisfied and wanting more... I have yet to feel that way with ARTPOP BTW was very inspiring for me as a fan and MTN BTW GH Judas Scheiße YAI and TEOG were perfect but the rest of the album was too preachy and dark and just not fun... Even I was so sad that Gaga called it overrated when fans complained MTN was not as good as it... How can you tear down your own video that catapulted your fame and made you legendary? Mister G 10,427
I agree with most of the comments on this thread. I am definitely a huge supporter of ARTPOP. It's part of my everyday flow, morning, afternoon and night. I think in order of quality it would be ARTPOP>>The Fame Monster>>Born This Way>>The Fame. Even though I love Born This Way, I really can't see myself listening to all the songs anymore with the exception of maybe 7 or 8 when originally it used to be a good 14 of them. Oh and #JusticeForVenus

GHGUY 230
she was pressed as **** I was still upset when Gaga teared down the Telephone video... When it came out she was saying how she felt sorry for BR video because Telephone was so good... And it really was! It was on equal greatness to BR I was so upset when she said on a radio interview that she hated it because the ideas were all over the place... I was like really? :usrs:
Pain of fame1 229
Anyone else agree that ARTPOP is still Gaga's best album despite Gaga being forced to make it more commercial by her management team? I mean sure I can do without JND and Fashion! But over all the album is so strong and has high replay value, more than TFM and TF and especially more than BTW I know TF TFM and BTW had some songs that are stronger (JD, PF, BR, TEOG, etc) but as a collective I believe ARTPOP is her most enjoyable album to date I just hope fans do not start criticizing ARTPOP because Gaga admitted it wasn't her full vision realized I agree ARTPOP is everything
