MANiCURE 61
*** in that context just wants me to chuck up to be honest. I cringe. Those kind of lyrics work elsewhere but not on ARTPOP. Hate? No. Dislike? For sure, I get it. Any of the songs I didn't fall in love with right away have grown on me but J&D just.... No

Bloody hooker 6,445
I always loved Jewels n Drugs since she performed it at Swinefest, and I agree with your statement. This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.
Crash 11
No, I think it's a great song! One of the better ones on ARTPOP You must think ARTPOP as a whole must really suck then
Erotica 34,858
You must think ARTPOP as a whole must really suck then Nope, it's a flawless album. Her best one so far Poor is the man whose pleasures depend on the permission of another
ChasingGhosts 726
No it's pretty much flawless Born This Way > Joanne > The Fame Monster > The Fame > ARTPOP
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
If anything, it doesn't get enough hate.
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
No it doesn't. All the fans want Gaga to stay in a box that is why they hate it. You can leave your box and make terrible music, that's what happened here. For most of the album she played it very safe, there's only a couple of songs where she left her box (JnD, Swine, MJH). Swine and MJH are good songs for the most part, JnD is really bad
FKAJAKE 5
I don't understand why everyone hates it, it's one of my fave ARTPOP tracks tbh
Luck 133
I've always found the song fine. Is it anywhere near her best? No. But that doesn't mean the song is pure sh*t. The song shouldn't be trashed so bad, but people have different opinions I guess.
Cheezr 37
I love JN'D. Haters gonna hate It's one of my favorites off of ARTPOP
shane_c 480
I didn't like it until SXSW, then it clicked for me. Same for Swine. Its better live.
Guest
No. People bash it because they don't like the style of music, but that doesn't mean it's not good. I feel like a lot of her fans really don't like hip-hop/rap in the first place, so her doing this song was bound to cause an uproar. It's a fantastic song and by far the most daring one the album. Quark 7,098
I don't think it interrupts the flow of the album because it flows really well together with MANiCURE. And as you know, MANiCURE also has trap influnces, specially the outro. Yes and No. Yes because it is one of the weakest tracks on ARTPOP, and is very different form usual gaga, it interrupts the flow of the album as a whole for . Also i really really loved it at Swinefest but something about the studio version seems too polished. No, because its still a great song, and people seem to complain a lot about the lyrics when they love Donatella..... Also i hate the fact that people write it off instantly because they 'dnt like rap moosik doe' You just have to admit that the reason why most people here hate it is simply because most here are not into rap. But even if you hate the song simply because you think the song is bad and not because of its genre, you are still generalizing the fact that everyone hates it. I personally love the song and I know many non Gaga fans that also love the song. Yes. It's just a bad song (don't try and pull that "just cus you don't like rap doesn't mean it's a bad song" bs because it is a bad song and pretty much everyone agrees) Plus the fact that Gaga performs it at EVERY opportunity...
