I completely agree with you, by the way. This doesn't change how I feel about Gaga, but I do think it's somewhat frustrating. We could be getting slayed by new videos, performances, interviews, etc. But we're not. We're sitting here wondering what's going on. No. That didn't stop her from opening the show with her new single which would've been illegible for nominations. Oh did I? I made them up in my head? that's the information that I've seen reported from official sources. I could be bothered enough to find you a quote but I really don't give a ****. In the end, the label wouldn't be stopping her from releasing a video for her current single considering labels do enjoy releasing music videos because they, in return, make more money for them. What they WOULD do is stop her from releasing a raunchy video with a s-xual offender who's been receiving plenty of bad press lately, and judging by that screenshot we got, it was certainly going to be raunchy. Well the master strategist has exited - aka Troy. Therefore, you get all this. Also, DWYW by Terry feat. R Kelly appears to have been shelved and apparently LG was not too happy about it. My guess is she fought for it, and lost and chose not to re-shoot it. Finally, on that massive level, ARTPOP's performance has been underwhelming in terms of sales. NOT FOR ANYONE ELSE, but for her, yes. For Interscope it's not about warm and fuzzy musical feelings, it's about dollar signs, babee. LG is supposed to be one their top five earners, to make up for all the other losses that they write off. I would not be surprised if Jimmy and co are now poring over other songs and letting go of the initial era. That is depressing as hell to an artist. Love or hate the album, it's her child, she did pour her heart and soul into it, I suppose. When s*** like this happens, an artist goes through a sulking period, understandably. I liked Gaga since 2008, but my love has been growing to her very steadily until it exploded with passion in July :P Now, for the past 5 months I can't get enough of TF, TFM, BTW, AP I also just started to be a fan just now. It's not like we don't know it for sure but some fans still believe she'll release it someday. It's pretty much clear that she won't. Sadly, DWUW is over. We didn't even get a Grammy performance. So I think that she should be honest with us instead of keeping us waiting for something that's never really gonna happen. At least we'd say that she was honest with us instead of counting one more disappointment and betrayal. I thought I still had hope for the DWUW era but obviously she let it go for reasons I still don't understand. Like 4 months to shoot a video that reflects creativity? I wonder how many amazing videos Beyonce shot in 4 months. I'm not really trying to spread negativity or anything. But I'm a fan after all. I'm here for the music, the art, the performances, the interviews, the Gaga. I'm happy she's doing this online kindness thing but eventually she's a singer and not a school headmaster. She can't just sit all day telling a few fans on LM how they should behave. It's nothing wrong but it seems to be taking her time when she should be celebrating this era. She, as much as us, waited for this era to start and I don't know what happened. Suddenly everything changed. I know a lot of you try to be as nice as possible whenever a thread about Gaga's current situation is started, and that's really nice and necessary sometimes, but hey, you can't overlook this. YOU'RE FANS. And what are you fans of? Her music and art. Whatever comes next is a plus. If it was about her preaching, I'm sure Oprah probably does a better job. Face it. WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THIS ERA SO FAR. One more thing. I kinda understand when some people here were like 'ARTPOP should've been like BEYONCE.' It's because of the why Gaga described ARTPOP to us. She said it wouldn't be just an album, it would be a whole different project, giving fans a notion that it would be something never done before. ARTPOP was released, and a forgotten app followed. BEYONCE was released and baaaam all tracks have videos. Now this is something different. This is something that would've made fans feel how different and unique this ARTPOP project could've been. But then again, if Gaga wanted ARTPOP to be like BEYONCE, she could've made it that way. I get it. I just don't know what was so different about this ARTPOP project. That's all. But we all know how hard Gaga works and how passionate she is about creating. I'm sure the silence is because she's working hard on whatever's going to come next. I'm hoping that the reason why we aren't hearing anything is because she's realized that she's become too rolled up in the world of her fans and that she needs to get out if she wants to keep on making great work. It's great that she is such a diehard defender of her fans, and it's what separates her from so many other stars, but you can have too much of a good thing. I think she's gotten too caught up in a world of mindless teenagers and weird internet trolls. It's distracting her and put her in an immature mindset. I think that you are what you read. And if you read the bull crap on LM.com all day, you're going to become sh*t-brained yourself. Speaking for myself, I know that I definitely have been spending too much time on this site lately, and reading comments by immature teenage fans rather than reading classic literature or philosophy like I usually would in my free time has definitely rotted my brain a bit. Considering Gaga hasn't been doing much either, lately, there hasn't been much point of coming on here. So I'm thinking of taking a cue from Gaga and just getting out while I still can, and while my brain hasn't completely turned to mush yet. Her communication is appalling and the irony is she has a fan site, but all she does there is either comment 'amazing' or 'no negativity pls' or just posts a random selfie. Don't get me started on gagavisions. She'll be sitting in the bath tub saying something extremely interesting, only for the video to cut to something utterly random 2 seconds later and for background music to be so ****ing loud I can't hear a thing. There isn't an article on this website that stated the statements you came up with out of your head about the DWUW video. You pieced those "facts" together from reading a bunch of wild speculations from fans about what happened. That doesn't make those speculations facts. Beyoncé got asked to open the show because she's such a force, especially since her surprise album. GaGa is... or was? a force like that, so she would have no problem getting a slot in that bore fest of a show. They didn't invite her? How do you know that? Did she tell you that? Did the Grammys tell you? I've been a fan of her since early 2009 and have been on this forum since late 2009, obviously I don't hate her. I hate her absolute NEGLIGENCE lately, both to us and to the album overall. I don't care what she's going through or what's happening internally. That's for her and her label to deal with. What I care about is that she acts like she actually gives a **** about the album and the success of it, instead of giving up on it just because it's selling poorly and got dragged by the critics. She still owes it to us to give us an at least half assed music video and a pretty dress on the Grammy's red carpet. And I paid $1,500 to meet the b---h in May, so please don't tell me that I'm the one with the problem when I'm only upset at her for valid reasons. You can continue on being her lap dog, but for what? What is she doing for you? She's neglecting you the same as she is the rest of us. Once she gives us something more I'll be perfectly happy. Even if she just told us what the hell she's been doing, I would be happy. But she's said absolutely nothing besides "no negativity on this site thank u".
