Government Hooker is an old song, Telephone is an old song (from herself), Aura was a beat that Infected Mushroom sent to Zedd to remix/play live and Gaga heard it and said I WANT IT and actually bought it. DJWS said the initial beat of DWUW was from a friend and they worked over it and later invited R Kelly to join. Like guys THIS IS COMMON. As far as I am aware, MJH maybe an old song Madeon kept at the foremost corner of his computer, we dont know... my point is... Who gives a flying ****!!! the songs are fantastic!! Everything she does on there is highlighted and made into news here and 95% of it is telling fans to behave themselves. Not everything she does there is posted here. At this point just release DWYW via App and move onto next single ONLY if she can be bothered to promote it, otherwise just release Act II and go on tour and pretend this debacle ever happened. I'm really almost to the point of just being over it. I used to rant about how good Lady Gaga promo train is, but definitely not anymore I kinda don't want to say it... I feel the era is already reaching an early end. I need Gaga to put her money where mouth is stack. I agree with your post, besides the beyonce' comment thought it was kinda left wing even though I adore the Beyonce' my favorite album of 2013 and 2014. SISTERV 3,887 Posted January 28, 2014 Share Posted January 28, 2014 All these girls released their opening singles in the third quarter of 2013 (July-October) and since then these are the number of videos they've released: Miley Cyrus- 3 (#4 out within next month) Katy Perry- 2 (#3 out within next two weeks for Dark Horse) Britney Spears- 2 (#3 in the works for next six weeks) Beyonce- (All videos available) Rihanna- (final video just released of era for "What Now") Ke$ha-(taking a break) Pink- (just finished era) I almost feel like.....and this is a theory I might even doubt but who the hell knows......Gaga is waiting for all the other girls to kinda put out all their good stuff and then she is just going to take advantage of the spring/summer because there are currently no big female girls lined up yet for release. Its literally an open stage for the taking and all the other girls have pretty much used up the songs most likely to be big hitters on their albums...especially by April or May. My theory is, because the tour is coming, because DWUW didn't work out, we are getting a mini hiatus because Gaga's team found a tiny advantage in the pop market this spring......its basically a blank slate. There is literally no real competition and Gaga releasing her good stuff off ARTPOP and the big hitters works better during the tour because it promotes the tour. It also sets Gaga as the frontrunner for the spring, continuing into the summer which works out in the long run for many things including: -the VMAs -the 2015 Grammys -The big summer hit And on top of this....if Gaga uses this time and momentum she could put out the second act somewhere during this time and it would only help its sales even further. Basically, the theory is Gaga's team is letting all the competition waste away their ammo and energy and Gaga's team is saving theirs, so in the spring Gaga literally is the only person slaying. While he was working on it for another band. The "blame" here is entirely on Gaga's shoulders for taking something that was not supposed to be hers. Nevertheless, she paid for the instrumental and IM, for all their dislike of Gaga, took her money and let her use it. Some people here have said that Gaga went through everything Zedd had made and selected what she liked. If Karma Bitch was a demo, then it was never used and he probably saved it for a future project, as musicians are wont to do (Gaga reused the "Take You Out" melody for "Posh Life" and part of "Earthquake" for "Fashion of his Love"). I imagine Gaga heard it and liked it, then wrote a new melody for it. That's it. He wasn't some lazy bum sneakily giving Gaga old songs; she went through his stuff and found instrumentals and sang over them. She is an active participant and probably fully aware that Karma Bitch already existed. So one of the Zedd songs was never meant for Gaga and she just wanted it, one was from a demo and Gaga probably picked it out herself, and the other we don't know anything about. How is Zedd the lazy one here when Gaga was the one who selected these tracks (in one case one that was already being worked on for another artist) and sang over them? This isn't even a Zedd-exclusive phenomenon. Government Hooker was an old DJWS track and DWUW was apparently something DJWS's friend was working on. Judas and Bad Romance have the same structure and in the chorus, similar chord progressions (repeating yourself? How reductive ). The "Born This Way" melody is reused in the bridge of "Fashion of his Love". Hair, The Edge of Glory, Highway Unicorn, Dope, and Paparazzi all have the same chord progression in their chorus. In bands, it's not weird for one member to bring an old demo to another and for both of them to work on it. There is no wrong-doing going on here. At worst, you could say Gaga was less involved in the songwriting process for Aura (originally an Infected Mushroom track) and Donatella (she picked an existing instrumental and sang a new melody over it). I'm not happy about it because I want to hear Gaga's work, not Zedd's work (even though I do like him and looked forward to their collaboration) or Infected Mushroom's work, but either way two good songs came out of it and I'm gonna enjoy them all the same. If the DWUW video is cancelled, she could just tell us, we will get over it. I put "her???" in parenthesis in order to state that she may not have wanted to perform (in no way implying that she failed to call the GRAMMYs personally and request a spot at her demand). I meant to say that she just may not feel like she wants to perform right now. Saying she might not have wanted to perform is VERY different from saying she passed on the Grammy's(which does imply she had a spot, which, by the way, is very doubtful). Either way, there is no evidence of that to begin with. Even bringing up the Grammy's is in bad taste unless she says, "hey guys, the Grammy's called and asked me to perform but I said no kthxbai xoxox." The real problem is that you guys seem to think she is on some sort of 'blackout' just because she isn't catering to you. The only mistake she has made is not releasing a video for DWUW, but at this point, that's over and done with. You guys just have to get over it. Nothing else matters, and the DWUW video is quite literally the only reason to be annoyed. If you can't live without knowing her full promotional schedule(which she herself has almost certainly not decided), that's simply not healthy.
