I agree, this is a woman that did a concert with 200 shows, she has worked nonstop. She has to be one of the most hardest working artists in the business, and now she just seems to not have that passion or spark anymore, what is wrong Gaga? Don't forget when BTW dropped, Gaga was doing about 3 performances a week, all over the world. If managment hold up her MV, then it gets re-shot or edited. Instead it disappears. If there are some problems, why would Gaga decide to not go outside anymore on top of not promoting? The biggest night for music of the year just happened, and Gaga with her underperforming LP isn't even in California... it's all very weird. The LM.com posts are stupid at this stage, too. A load of captions with pseudo-depth for selfies she takes instead of donning an outfit and walking around so that she can get a picture in the press -> promotion. APPLAUSE4YOU 443 Posted January 28, 2014 Share Posted January 28, 2014 I want to start off by stating that I am in NO WAY trying to offend others with my thoughts or opinions. I would like to defend my choice to make this thread by reasoning that I feel the need to voice my opinions more extensively than by posting a small status that may be easily misinterpreted for excessive negativity or bashing. As of late, the current blackout of promotion, exposure, and overall ARTPOP care has been a bit aggravating for me. I realize that the transition from one manager to another may be extremely difficult and that Gaga has went through quite a bit this album cycle to get to where she currently is at. However, I do not understand the complete silence at a time where it is completely necessary to bring to life an album that is capable of much more than it is currently producing. The DWUW video is the most obvious example of the negligence to sustain an album's relevance and a single's relevance in today's current market. It may not be the end of the world (and it most certainly is not) but it does indicate the lack of care that has been put into the maintenance of this album. Not only does the video for DWUW have yet to surface but her team (or her??) have decided to skip one of the biggest platform's of promotion for global success by passing on the chance to perform/promote ARTPOP on the recent GRAMMY awards ceremony. I just have overall discontempt with the way her team is managing this album, especially considering the potential it has within it. I respect Gaga as an artist and I will always continue to do so. In no way will this alter the way I feel about Gaga and it will never change me from being a huge fan of hers. I completely agree with you, by the way. This doesn't change how I feel about Gaga, but I do think it's somewhat frustrating. Tell us you're planning the third single, tell us you're working on the DWUW video, tell us if it's cancelled, tell us something. I just miss her talking to us about her work. If she let us know even a little something about what's going on, I would be okay. But she's not saying a word about anything that's happening, and it's frustrating... I can understand why you're upset and I mean I don't really have anything to offer besides maybe you should take a small "break" from Gaga, per say? What I mean by this is you just don't pay full attention or any attention to her where abouts and all and then come back once she's ready to be going full force again. I did it once with Gaga and it really helped. I limited myself to Gaga's music and that was it. When I came back I felt less bleh about it all. It's just a suggestion though. And I do have to say I agree. It doesn't necessarily frustrate me but it is sad that she isn't doing anything (that we know of) at this moment (well on a big scale, or album wise) I hope she starts filling us in on things in the coming weeks.... She should've shown up to the Grammy's with a gorgeous outfit like she's been showing up at other events. She should've performed. She should've put out a DWUW video regardless of her creative vision. Just because she has way more artistic integrity than other artists doesn't mean she gets to put pause on an era with this much potential. I understand the blame isn't entirely on her but she seems incredibly stubborn when her label doesn't let her do what she wants (no pun intended). In the end, they're the ones who made her so if they say no to the DWUW video, she needs to tone it down or come up with another idea (which she is perfectly capable of) and put it out, instead of having a media blackout and excluding herself from major events in the industry.
