There is absolutely no way to diagnose someone you don't know, especially something as complicated as a personality disorder, without a series of tests and evaluations. Even then, diagnosis can change depending on the professional giving the diagnosis and depending on the life circumstances of the individual. She even said later in an interview that these were not actual voices but just thoughts, about melodies, lyrics...whichever creative thought that came through her mind. When will y'all stop to take her so literally ? There was one interview where she said that she heard voices since she was a child and that she would notice things that other people didn't notice ( because they weren't there) and it would freak her out. i thought the same thing you think until I heard her explain it like this... I just can't take her every word so seriously. She always contradicts herself, so I prefer to have a distance to what she tells the media. This. Gaga likes being "weird." If she was hearing voices, that means she'd have a debilitating mental illness and wouldn't be functioning as well as she is. I find these posts really upsetting, tbh. We only know of gaga what she wants us to know and we literally have no idea otherwise. Even saying she shows signs of it is irresponsible and insensitive to people who actually have it. If psychiatrists don't diagnose or identify symptoms through press appearances, then you probably shouldn't either. Also, many mental illness are just severe shades of normal behavior - depression is sadness, but on a much higher level. So, honestly, we all show "signs" of BPD because we all can be sensitive to abandonment, for example, but BPD is an actual disorder. I hope Gaga is doing well. Being a fan is fun, but I think we need to keep in mind that we know approximately 1% of what goes on in Gaga's life on any given day. And I think Gaga is dealing with issues and has been for years, but I have never (personally) found any reason to believe that she actually has an undiagnosed mental illness. That's of course just my opinion and you have a right to yours as well, but we just don't know that stuff for sure... I would certainly hope not.
