Most people base their assumptions about the GP on their personal opinions. But rarely will our favorite song be radio-friendly. Plus, they just want their favorites on the radio. Venus could be good because its catchy, even if it's "cheesy" at times.

Those are just the reasons why I want a certain song to be a single regardless of wether or not the song is a hit. I am not acting like I know the song will for sure be a hit or a flop. I am not saying things like "this song will sink faster than the titanic", or "this song is the only smash left in ARTPOP".

bye @ you all taking this out of proportion. what I'm saying is, when gaga fans jump on you if you criticize her work, or just always say gagas work is better than others (and it may well be in their opinion) I'm not saying you can't not like everything gaga does I'm saying you can criticise her without being a "fake stan" y'all are so dramatic :awkney:

Fans don't need to praise every slice of popcake served, or love it for that matter.

But they should still love the cook and be grateful for what she spent time cooking.

What people don't understand is that it is a difference between "I don't like ARTPOP" and "wtf ARTPOP is the worst album ever OMG Gaga you're so tacky I hate you go die in a hole your career is over I'm done"

This. We have too many people who think that standing up against haters is the same thing as standing up against opinions. :smh:

glad you noticed. now you can give me my third wp for flamebait because it won't change what this forum has become when it's me that's receiving them and not the people who have recently decided to bash everything Gaga does under the pretense of having a right to an opinion.

What's the meaning for the song Dancing In The Dark, DITD? Is it about Gaga dancing as a stripper but her boyfriend disapprove of it?

It's about women who are shy and don't want to have s-x while the lights are on. I think that's what Gaga said one time. :toofunny:or I'm referring to another time when she visited some foundation. Dunno, I'm a bit confused.

Dance in the Dark" depicts a girl being uncomfortable when having s-x. During an interview on the MySpace Music's The Feed, Gaga mentioned that the song represented her "Fear of Self Monster".

“

The record is about a girl who likes to have s-x with the lights off, because she’s embarrassed about her body. She doesn’t want her man to see her naked. She will be free, and she will let her inner animal out, but only when the lights are out.

â€â€Lady Gaga, on MTV

The following refers to the lyrics, "Run, run; her kiss is a vampire grin/Moon lights her way while she is howling at him."

"She doesn’t feel free without the moon. These lyrics are a way for me to talk about how I believe women and some men feel innately insecure about themselves all the time. It’s not sometimes, it’s not in adolescence, it’s always."

Later, she revealed that the song was inspired by her point of view, and how she wants to inspire people with her music.

"I guess all of these new things entering my life are changing the way I view my purpose, but that song in particular is about me wanting to live -- but also, the song isn’t called 'Dance in the Light.' I’m not a gospel singer trying to cross people over. What I’m saying is, 'I get it. I feel you, I feel the same way, and it’s OK.' "I hope and pray that I can inspire some sort of change in people subliminally through the show. They’re singing 'Dance in the Dark,' but they’re dancing and they’re free, they’re letting it out. But the songs are not about freedom, they’re about [the fact that] I get it. I feel the way you feel."

Hope it helps

This should've been posted as a status, especially because it's such an old song.

But anyway, Sunny's answer was great and it actually helped me remember it too, so whatever :music:
