I noticed something too. Not sure if it's fillers. Her face just looked kinda puffy. Could be from medication she is taking (for pain or Lupas?) or could be from partying. Or she just could have had an off night. Or just could be bad pictures. It happens. It could be weight gain, which is totally fine. She still looks beautiful. She just looks different. I believe.. that MADONNA's immense media coverage in 2012, after Born this way the album was released, on how lady gaga is reductive, and how madonna performed born this way mashed up with express yourself to one of the biggest female tours in history, split apart lady gaga's gay fanbase.. There are A LOT of gay guys just a little older than me, in their mid to late 20s.. who absolutely loathe ladyg aga because they were madonna fans, and madonna hates her.. and say gaga is a wanna be madonna. and these are people who purchased TF/TFM because they adored her and thougth she was the next big thing... until madonna comparisons popped up.... so the theory is that madonna's media influence and negative speal on lady gaga could have destroyed a portion of her fanbase...... also, I also believe that back in 2009, there was nobody doing the crazy avantgarde dresses/dance pop influenced music but gaga..... and now everyone from pitbull to rihanna are doing it...and gaga's absence for all of 2012.. and the majority of 2013... allowed the others.. to take her spot(I think her break from radio from 2010 to 2011 was a huge mistake too) .. since they were blasting their singles on radio up the ass(katy ended up with 5 more #1s from 2011 to today, while gaga had 1).. while gaga was barely on radio late 2011 even .. these are all theories, and I believe these theories led to the fall of lady gaga's immense reign over pop music.. PRISM outselling ARTPOP, by a HUGEEEEE amount weekly WORLD WIDE and ARTPOP free falling on the U.S album charts..... she has no one buying her album...... those fans didn't just all die..... they just stopped liking her.. The competition is a lot stiffer than it was during The Fame/ The Fame Monster era so I believe that it was easier for Gaga to stick out more. As for the Born This Way era...I don't believe Madonna could have that much of an influence. I believe that era was just Gaga being overworked, not being able to think clearly with some of her decisions..Drama...and well the music was good but she didn't spend as much on that album as she did with ARTPOP. Well true but there's a small different...Madonna didn't vocally express her dislike towards Gaga until Born This Way came out. I mean they did an entire SNL skit together so I don't think Madonna fans would have a reason to hate Gaga. I agree that Madonna doesn't have THAT much influence over an artist. She also said she liked Gaga and thought she was very talented. She hates the comparisons because she doesn't want people to compare her to gaga, she views gaga as a unique artist and not a copycat but I think Gaga and everyone else read too much into it. Ofc this won't mean that Madonna fan's haven't taken this the wrong way too because some have but her truest fans know what she was on about. As for the second part no, lots of people are creative and wear weird clothes it's just that there are only so many stunts you can do before you get labelled as "gimmicky". Gaga needs to show the GP that she is talented and more than her outfits and stunts if she wants mainstream success again. Not saying she needs to tone down but she needs to work hard at it if she cares and if she doesn't then she can just get on with what she wants and forget about commercial success.
