MonsterMarty 96
Lol I'm sorry Katy's songs are basic in every way possible Not all, but a lot yes. Roar is the most successful basic song in living memory.

MikeGoneGaga 86
At the end of the day, Katy will have more hits than Gaga. But in terms of acclaim and longevity, Gaga will outlast Katy because what Gaga has done for the pop culture landscape is more than what Katy's hits can ever contribute. And like what people have said, Gaga's "flop" era is still putting up a good fight with Katy's "slaying" era. Gaga at her peak tho, was invincible, and few came close to that. Brown Eyes 0
Katy seems so much savvier than Gaga. While Gaga is busy playing the victim, whining about everything, and pointing fingers at everybody but herself on lm.com/twitter, Katy is scoring smash hit after smash hit. People kept dismissing Rihanna, but she has such a stellar singles collection full of quality pop hits now, that it's pretty much impossible to dismiss her now. Same will be with Katy after this era. Rihanna and Katy keep gaining respect while Gaga is steadily squandering the public's goodwill and respect I find it a shame considering Katy's live singing, but can't fault her for playing the game so well. LaLuna 12,732
Marry the Night should've been the 2nd single off BTW instead of Judas. MTN was always meant to be a single, but by the time it was released the GP was already sick of Gaga. The way I see, there should've been only 3 singles during the BTW era : BTW, MTN and TEOG.
