djBuffoon 12,120
its not that its bad or anything actually imo its fantastic, its just that the other ones are perfect
ManuelMonsterr 0
Because it doesn't have any meaning. But I wouldn't say it's a bad album, it's just basic pop shame on you really wtf even her "stefani" songs had deep meanings like "Hollywood"
Jeff Kunst 0
I like a lot of the songs on the album, but for me it doesn't flow quite as well as the others and some songs stick out. I also can't really relate to the themes. Plus I wasn't a fan back then. And she seems like such a different person.
Phoenix 17,395
When monsters rank Gaga's albums they put the one that they listen the most at No1 and then others. I think The Fame is AMAZING! AWESOME! BRILLIANT! GENIUS! It's hard to choose which one is number one in my heart, but The Fame is 2nd, at least. It deserves at least 2nd position. 💎
Zach Monster 0
It's their opinion?I love the Fame. I love all of Gaga's music. It just so happens that The Fame is my least favorite because I feel her other albums have better content. It's not that I hate it or something, it's just the worst of the best. heavymlover 340
It's fascinating that everyone has their favorite albums. They are all really different, so it's interesting to see so many different opinions. In my opinion, TF is great, but it's the album with the biggest number of songs that I don't really like and that I just skip when listening to it. msquare91 1
I do understand her wordplay, it was very clever on TF & it's one of the things that drew her to me in the first place. I think just lyrically, it's not on the same level as her other albums. It's more a 'fun' album than something to be taken seriously like TFM or BTW. I know what you mean. TFM and BTW's lyrics are more...poetic, maybe? But less wordplay than TF. I'm one of those really nerdy literature people who crack up at puns and wordplay, so I just love the wordplay from the album so much. I wish she would do it more. But I do also think that TF's lyrics are less sappy and more edgy. They just get to the point concisely, and I like that.
Chromatislaps 34,851
I feel the strongest tracks on the album are very contrasting with the weaker tracks, the theme remains consistent throughout the album, but i feel it could have been shorter: 1. Just Dance 2. Poker Face 3. Love Game 4. Paparazzi 5. Boys Boys Boys 6. Paper Gangsta 7. Beautiful, Dirty, Rich 8. The Fame 9. Brown Eyes 10. Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) 11. Starstruck (Without Flo-rida) This is a super solid album....as solid as TFM & ARTPOP.
badboymonsterx 541
I love the Fame, a lot of people don't like my favorites on the album (Starstruck and Money Honey) but who cares lol. PS Starstruck as a single would have smashed
Disregard 50
After BTW it became uncool amongst the fanbase to say you love The Fame because then you get accused of living in the past.

PS Starstruck as a single would have smashed STARSTRUCK!!! YASSSS! One of my absolute favorite songs of hers. I wish so bad that it was a single...seriously, would've been one of her biggest hits. Sabertooth 2
Generic pop at its best. Its a great singles album, but its my least favorite.
Haus 152
Because it is? As the album progresses it loses all of its momentum. It's a great album; the track list is just bad. It opens with the 4 major songs and then slopes down. The quality of some of the songs don't compare to her later work either. The album was obviously her way to get her foot in the door so she could do the type of music that she REALLY likes.
Gov Hooka 8,008
When you have albums like TFM, BTW, and ARTPOP and then you go to TF, it just doesn't compare. Also, Gaga I would say has evolved/progressed as an artist from that so the music as a result has gotten better.
msquare91 1
After BTW it became uncool amongst the fanbase to say you love The Fame because then you get accused of living in the past. That's a really good point. There's always that group of people who scream constantly about how they want FameGa back, and then there's always the group who criticizes them for living in the past...sigh, fanbase drama! I think people who miss The Fame era are also often accused of not supporting Gaga as an artist as she moves forward and tries new things. I always thought that was a crap argument, though. If people like a different album better, that doesn't make them bad fans, you know? I'm sure if Gaga released something they liked better than The Fame, they'd listen to that new one just as much as anybody else.
