Dope just goes to show how important the lyrics are to a song. I don't know if I appreciated that before. Not in this way. I do mist the 'I was born this way' line . . . but it sounds like we are getting some other lyrical references to her back catalogue in the other songs! It's still being released as a promo single tomorrow, right? But I do feel like the production on this is much more ominous even though the melody is the same. That electronic backing during the second verse I miss the "I was born this way" line too. But it was a bit too obvious, to be honest. I actually like the raw vocals, and the melody sounds much better now that it is in studio version.
