KingAlanI 3
****, I can't. :toofunny: :toofunny: are those supposed to be two specific people? I don't get why Gary Ross doesn't want to sign on for the next movie. I heard on the news lastnight that he goes 5% of whatever the film makes, and I'm assuming that's domestically since Lionsgate isn't distributing the film overseas. Regardless, he has already made $14 million from the film domestically. That of course doesn't include the money that he received right from the get-go when he signed on to the film. Like.....jesus ****ing christ. The greed of some people..... :fail: alternately, the greed of people at Lionsgate

KingAlanI 3
the Art Of Rue-ing? cool idea, but I notice that the guy is giving the salute with his right hand, it's supposed to be the left. **** parody? with flaming mockingjay pins as censor blobs? geez. If [Katniss doesn't get with Gale] oh well I can always go to fanfiction.net and read 18+ rated hot and steamy stories between them. for the benefit of other folks on this thread: nice site, a lot of good stories on there, and not just the 18+ ones. the site covers a lot of fictional worlds; here's the Hunger Games section: http://www.fanfictio...k/Hunger_Games/ Edited April 8, 2012 by KingAlanI

KingAlanI 3
Parka, that nailed the dismissive Capitol attitude My THG-themed parody of an Irish folk song The Meadow Fields v2 - Thanks to Vaneria Potter on FanFiction.net for review and PM’s on v1. By Alan Gilfoy in the world of Suzanne Collins To the tune of Fields of Athenry by Pete St. John Presented in-character as a poem written by Gale Hawthorne We heard the agent’s call When she reached in the ball Kat they are taking you away For you took your sister’s place The arena you now face Your prison car lies waiting on the tracks I went down to the meadow fields Where once we watched the small free birds fly Our hearts flew on that wing You had dreams and songs to sing It’s so lonely in that meadow now In an empty hall We said our last goodbyes. Nothing matters when your mind is free Against starvation and Snow You rebelled, they cut you low I’ll see Prim grow with dignity I went down to the meadow fields Where once we watched the small free birds fly Our hearts flew on that wing You had dreams and songs to sing It’s so lonely in that meadow now From a barren station wall I watched the last car fading Into the west Would it be a train of death? Sure, we’ll all watch and hope But I’m not sure how I’ll cope It’s so lonely, here in the meadow fields Vaneria’s suggestions for lines 4 and 5; I used my own. “For you declared that you would go / So that Prim might see tomorrow†“Only a few more hours 'til you're gone / Can I face the future alone?†Edited April 16, 2012 by KingAlanI

Parka 1
THG topped $300 million this weekend at the domestic box office, making it the sixth quickest film to reach that number. It's estimated that the weekend total is $33.5 million, making it the #1 film for a third week in a row. It had a better third Friday than any Harry Potter or Twilight film. It now has a domestic total of $302 million, which ranks it already at the 37th highest grossing film domestically. It has already out-grossed every Twilight movie, and all but two Harry Potter films (Deathly Hollows Pt. 2 and Sorcerers Stone). Including worldwide grosses, THG now has a gross of $417 million in just three weeks. :legend: :legend: :legend:
