She's got 120K+ preorders on iTunes alone plus a decent amount of physical preorders from Amazon. Plus I think producing a limited supply of foil copies is a more effective strategy in Gaga's case since I think she's the type of artist that inspires/encourages collectors. Gaga's earned about 20k pre-orders in the week of the DWUW release, and will probably earn about 20k sales a week for the next 2 weeks too. 160k pre-orders on iTunes, and then there's the people who don't pre-order it, the people who buy the app, the people who buy it after of promo (e.g. AMAs, SNL), the people who buy a physical copy, the people who pre-ordered on Amazon, the people who bought a US copy outside of the US for the foil cover, etc. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
