Music might seem more amazing than usual, maybe you feel like you notice details in the song that you didn't before. But being high doesn't make the background music overwhelm the vocals, at least for me. If Gaga says that was an intentional production to mimic being high then I'll buy that explanation. I remember one Twitter review of the listening party said MJH wasn't memorable at all, and now I understand what he means. Other than what could possibly be the loudest production ever made, it doesn't stand out AT ALL.
