I'm really curious to see what critics/reviewers will say.

That this aggressively electronic song with unconventional lyrics is hitting well with her fan base comes as no surprise to me. We're a primarly queer fan base, lol, of course we're gonna love it.

But singles should be perceived as larger than this stan base. Her career "lives or dies on top 40 radio."

Hello!!! where have you been? Venus is not a single

I know that. What made you think that I thought it was single?

That's my response to people thinking she should put out a single knowing very well that it will flop. Singles not only promote her album, they promote and carry her name. If enough flops accumulate, she'll be regarded as a second-rate pop star.

Venus is so f*cking weird but I love it. I think it's a bit too weird for the public though, regardless of how catchy it may be.

"Lady Gaga teased a new 40-second snippet of the ARTPOP song “Venus,†and it’s looking to be a thumper worthy of its galactic name. Don’t be surprised if “Aphrodite Lady Seashell Bikini†becomes the catchphrase of the season."

Why mess?, do you want basic songs as the opening tracks? sometimes I think you guys want another basic pop diva number 1 machine, I really prefer experimental and weird songs like Aura and Venus than ultra basic hits like Roar.
