Well considering it would have performed extremely similarly to it if it were a single, it's not that weird lol She has to choose singles that people will warm up to it, and that will cause people to buy the album. Applause did that, DWUW will do that. Venus would *probably* never do that. From what I'm hearing, it's a classic case of "verses don't match the chorus" Gaga. Dont know about Venus, waiting for the studio version before judging but i'm now convinced more than ever that DWUW is the right choice for single. DWUW has that instant appeal, an appeal that transcends this fanbase, an appeal which TEOG had and Judas lacked, an appeal I couldn't hear from Venus so far, an appeal that draws an audience to listen over and over again on radio - which is a must for any successful single for that matter.
