Because this is all so last minute and they'd have to rush a video out. Unless she wasn't fibbing when she said every song would get a video..... I know we haven't heard Venus (or the rest of the album) yet, but I'm sure there are other song on the album much, much better than Do What U Want. Whatever happened to letting "us" choose the next single? I would have much rather preferred Sex Dreams. That was a dumb idea that was never going to happen and I'm glad she didn't go through with it. Yesterday when DWUW was #1 pretty much everywhere and slaying all over the world, people were complaining that it wasn't chosen as the 2nd single because Venus was a terrible choice. Today when Gaga does what you asked for, suddenly Venus is the greatest song of all time and DWUW is basic filler? Nevermind the fact that we haven't heard Venus so we have no idea either way..... I think this DWUW is gonna smash. I trust Gaga to make the right decision on this! This fan base is never satisfied. They don't know what they want. I can't wait until Venus comes out. They did NOT have a tentative plan NOR could they predict the success of each one! Gaga's team must ADAPT to each song release success. It seems Gaga is a little worried about it too but also excited; I think the ARTPOP era will be long and successful. She could release up to 5 singles all with success. THAT WOULD BE A DREAM.
