Venus was going to be the perfect second single and as much as I love DWUW it just shouldn't have been a single. I guess GaGa really does care about the charts fff.... I think the song will do great, and I think it has the potential to smash with the GP, which is what Gaga needs now. In a way, even if Venus is great, chances are high that it will be overshadowed by the success of DWUW or it might not be as GP- and radio-friendly, which might hurt ARTPOP's sales. I understand that some or even many are disappointed, but this fan base needs to decide whether they want Gaga to make music just for them or music that slays the GP and charts. My friend works in radio and his Interscope rep told him Venus was a "career-killer". That speaks volumes and I personally could not be happier DWYW is the next single.
