I admit, I'm a bit disappointed that she addressed all these things.  I mean, why?  I thought the Number 1 rule of celebrities was don't feed into rumors?  And people will start this as a trend, I already see, and someone will inevitably get hurt.

I just hope any backlash from this was worth it all the fun.

I'm really starting to not like Twitter and Twitter drama.

It seemed a little immature... I mean... Madonna? I thought we were beyond that subject. It irks that sometimes she contradicts herself too much. One time she says "I'm a true artist, I am my work, I focus on my music" and then she tweets these childish thoughts about her. She should've done this in 2011, maybe 2012... but we are almost in 2014. I still think she's very insecure about her body and personality. People who is busy the whole time like her and know what to do in life don't waste time writing these things, even if it is some kind of awkward promotion tactic.

You're an idiot if you think she's shading Madonna. She's obviously mocking what the critics said and still say about her. Just because she's a true artist doesn't mean she can't respond to what people say about her. It fits right into her new song as a matter of fact.

Is the d--g one talking about her "addiction" to marijuana? Not really sure that's a true addiction...

Yes. It is  :)

She can Do What She Wants, and it's good she is finally responding to haters and critics but BITCH PLEASE, be a little coherent!

PS: I did not create the image... disregard the 'reductive' part.

Lol at fans getting upset at her tweets. Get over yourself. She's standing up for herself and having a little fun. It's not like what she does affects you one bit tbh

Oh my god! I leave town for one day and I miss so much!

:lmao: oh Gaga I freaking love this! She isn't sharing Katy or Madonna. She's dragging the critics that have said some many bad things about her. I just hope people don't misinterpret these tweets and let it create tension between the fanbases.

I was hoping a lot of ARTPOP's themes would stem from the "Gaga is Over" video  I hope it still does!

How come? I don't find it as interesting as the reverse Warhol themes...

I'm not saying she's shading Madonna or Katy or anyone, I'm saying that this "habit" of always reading and watching what people or critics say about is getting old. She's said multiple times she doesn't care and STILL this only shows she actually cares. I really don't see the point. She is successful, beautiful, amazing songwriter and singer. She doesn't need to do this, just shows how insecure she is about everything, opposed to what she stated months ago about how she is a grown woman and doesn't need anyone (including her monsters) to defend her and blablabla. She shouldn't mind what other people say, it creates a barrier between herself and her work, because the limits and prejudices establish barries in the creative process and also creates this "box" in which she says she doesn't want to be put in in pop music. Instead of creating songs and mature statements she still writes about what other people think about. Just grow up and leave the bad thoughts behind. Born This way was the perfect moment to write about the critics (and she did it perfectly in songs like Hair, BTW, Scheisse, bad kids), not ARTPOP which is supposed to be a step further in her artistic directions.

I don't know... I don't buy it. :coffee:

She doesn't care about what they say though. In fact she's telling them to write what they want, say what they want about her body nits what the song is about. Plus most of this was just to stir controversy and promote the song coming and it worked perfectly. Just because Born This Way was when she was receiving most of the hate doesn't mean she still isn't. She's free to say and do what she wants and I think it's amazing :nails:
