LStephens11 15 Posted October 27, 2013 Share Posted October 27, 2013 Im listening to it on Vevo for 3hrs... cant get enough... yes I seriously think this is my favorite ARTPOP song so far. (Based on studio versions) The chorus is EVERYTHINGG. The whole feel of the song reminds me a bit of Kylie's Rippin Up The Disco and it's absolutely brilliant. I gave it a 9 out of 10 just because I still haven't fully warmed up to the middle 8 yet. There's no smooth transitions between the three different sounds. It sounds like a project by someone. With proper production it could be good. But it's not. There is way too much crammed in there. However, I do like her vocals. Her vocals have definitely improved since The Fame. But the song feels disjointed between the first verse and pre-chorus. However, the chorus is killer though and is amazing! Overall, I would give the song an 8.5 or a 9. I still think DWYW was a better single choice because it's showing more of a range and more variety, but Venus is a fabulous song with a killer chorus. Every single hook is out of this world.
