Alvaro 5
Seems so hard to believe considering how little promo it's been getting... Kinda pisses me off. She could be doing so well chart-wise.

My thoughts exactly. This has been the most mediocre singles promotion. Two years since your last album and all you give us is 3 live performances of the lead single. And the tragedy is that the song has mass appeal. The tyranny lyric video and the lazy performance schedule probably cost her a number one on the hot
Juanjo 2,055
Yaaaaay! Congrats, Gaga! So happy such a different, edgy, and artsy single is having such good reception. So proud of my queen! :D
MegaMiles 0
I finally heard Applause on the radio after 3 weeks! My station has posted some anti-Gaga posts on FB and twitter lately so I didn't expect them to play it at all. The other station Stans hard for Gaga but hardly play it either. davewhite 0
But it sold like 1.2m copies, right? Still a disappointment for a lead single. Great radio hit tho

baptism 2,670
I hear it a LOT. Also, I love that Gaga has not at all been selling her body nor herself as a s-x symbol. Yes she shows a lot of skin, but not in a way that is meant to turn people on or be s-xual. That is really important to me, and I love that her entire career including Applause, she has been herself so much. It's ****ing incredible. Her success is so deserved, and she will never mother****ing let up. Â Applause for Applause.
Rollercoaster 2
Applause is made for radio. it screams radio success to me. I think the lack of promotion is going to be for longevity. Each time a single is about to drop, do a little promo so nobody gets sick of you and the song sticks around. I think she'll gradually increase the amount of promo as the album campaign goes on. With talk of a volume 2 "will she/won't she" I feel that the peak of the album will be met with an EP in an attempt to duplicate the successes of TFM and TMB with a more mature sound and better back catalogue.
