SIMON COWELL has lined up the world’s greatest divas as well as One Direction to ensure the X Factor live shows beat Strictly in their annual ratings war.

Lady Gaga, 27, Katy Perry, 28, Mariah Carey, 43, and Susan Boyle, 52, have already agreed to perform on the Sunday night results shows, as have 1D.

Other divas on Simon’s hit list include Beyoncé, 32, Celine Dion, 45, Gloria Estefan, 56, Cher, 67, Britney Spears, 31, and Miley Cyrus, 20, who are all believed to be in discussions.

They will be joined by superstar Robbie Williams, 39, who will perform a duet from his new album Swings Both Ways.

A host of previous X Factor contestants are to appear, including 2009 runner-up Olly Murs, 29, and last year’s winner James Arthur, 25.

I think this is referring to the uk version, unless strictly come dancing is now in the us? (not including the dancing with the stars brand, as the source specifically mentions "strictly"). It also refers to "last year's winner James Arthur" who won the uk version in 2012.
