When the contract says 24/7 available, $ 50000 , then it's all good (unless the contract is void), if it says she gets more money , then Gagz needs to pay her like the contract says...That's all.... This. I honestly don't see why this is so hard for Jennifer to understand, but I guess she's just not going to let this go until it's fully settled. What's funny is that she basically implied that when she was hired, both sides agreed that she'd have to be available 24/7, yet now she's complaining about working overtime? Okay... It's not an easy job, and it's not supposed to be, but if you do what you're supposed to do, you can make the most of the benefits, and considering how we've seen Gaga treat her employees, you can probably have a great relationship with her too. Jennifer should have realized that it wouldn't be fun and games before she decided to take the job, because what she's doing right now is pretty pathetic and she literally has nothing to sue Gaga over, unless there's some HUGE piece of information we're missing, which I highly doubt. It's upsetting that Gaga has to put up with this, but I just hope she doesn't lose her cool in court like she did the last time. I don't want people thinking those are her true colors when we know what a sweetheart she is, and I have a feeling it'll get more media coverage this time around. I think they will settle out of court with this Jennifer person now. There's no way they're going to risk this whole mess actually going to trial, especially when it's supposed to start right before the album launch. phoenixxx 33 Posted September 11, 2013 Share Posted September 11, 2013 I reckon Gaga probably figured she was doing her friend a favour by offering her a job where she got to travel the world and experience life on the road with her, but while some working partnerships can serve as a basis for amazing friendships, that's not to say that friendships can serve as a basis for good working relationships. I can understand why, if you're Lady Gaga, you'd want someone in that role to be someone you already know and trust. You need good friends close around you when you're travelling all around the world. In practice, however, her management should have ensured that Jennifer's professional contract was legally watertight, and not exceeded by overtime. Yes, she's behaving completely irresponsibly and hurtfully, but it's the responsibility of management to ensure that proper employment contracts and policies are in place to protect Gaga from this kind of legal dispute, regardless of who is in post, and ensure accountability for all parties. I think in context w other jobs its really not much of a sacrifice. But obviously people will see thinks from their perspective. Owell. I hope this doesnt cause too much drama for the album launch.
