The big issue with this case is that if O'Neill wins it, it would open the flood gates for compensation claims against past employers that could potentially ruin a lot of companies.  So it would set a terrible precedent.  A search of the case shows a lot of interest in it on legal blogs.

That's interesting, anyone who needs personal assistants , corporate executives, reporters, other celeb's will certainly need to review their employee agreements pending this issue.

There's two sides, people who say she's a nightmare...And people who say she's the sweetest and most loving individual...It's all gotten quite exhausting lol. I just want to continue to believe she's sweet & loving. So over all this Gaga bashing going on from people crawling out of the wood work all thanks to Hilton, Perez.

People need to shut up and press play.

This. I honestly don't see why this is so hard for Jennifer to understand, but I guess she's just not going to let this go until it's fully settled. What's funny is that she basically implied that when she was hired, both sides agreed that she'd have to be available 24/7, yet now she's complaining about working overtime? Okay...

It's not an easy job, and it's not supposed to be, but if you do what you're supposed to do, you can make the most of the benefits, and considering how we've seen Gaga treat her employees, you can probably have a great relationship with her too. Jennifer should have realized that it wouldn't be fun and games before she decided to take the job, because what she's doing right now is pretty pathetic and she literally has nothing to sue Gaga over, unless there's some HUGE piece of information we're missing, which I highly doubt. It's upsetting that Gaga has to put up with this, but I just hope she doesn't lose her cool in court like she did the last time. I don't want people thinking those are her true colors when we know what a sweetheart she is, and I have a feeling it'll get more media coverage this time around.  :noparty:

Yeah this could be the only thing because she still sues her...,maybe there is something we don't know!

And I really hope there's a contract because everything would be cool then.

On the other side when you are friends with somebody you often don't make contracts and then you'll regret it :laughga:

Oh god yes let's pray she keeps her cool next time because it's not good in front of a court when you're b---hy :messga:

What happened last time? :ohno:

I can sympathise with Jennifer, she couldn't imagine how demanding the job would be. If there was possible "overtime" that she worked then I hope she's paid for however long it was just so we can put this all to rest. If Jennifer's wrong though and she's caused this s--t storm for insufficient reasons then feed her to the hounds :wtf:

What happened last time? :ohno:

gaga said she was a "f**king hood rat who is suing me for money that she didn’t earn" and "She’s just  she thinks she’s just like the queen of the universe,. And, you know what, she didn’t want to be a slave to one, because in my work and what I do, I’m the queen of the universe every day." and called her a "disgusting human being" for suing her.

read this http://www.gossipcop.com/lady-gaga-blasts-former-assistant-jennifer-oneill-deposition-lawsuit-unpaid-overtime/

and gaga tweeted right after the news story came out basically confirming the whole story.

Like I said before though, unless there's some huge piece we're missing, there was no "overtime", the agreement was, even according to Jennifer, that she'd be available 24/7.

Garnite already filled you in on what happened last time in his reply. It makes me upset and even disappointed though. I mean I can understand that she felt betrayed and upset and we all have a breaking point so I'm not necessarily blaming her for it, but I wish she could have kept calm. :( The fact that it's so uncharacteristic of her is what makes me sad about it having occured public, because I don't want this to be anyone's first impression of such a wonderful person.

oh that, I'd completely forgotten about that :laughga: I didn't know about the "queen of the universe" comments though. Thanks for reminding & filling me in! :)

Yeah I totally agree, I would rather it be a rant in private so the media don't spread it like wildfire. I wouldn't want Gaga to be judged on an outburst either, it doesn't paint her as the person she is :ohno:

sigh, this b---h is still going at it?

it's not like she was a good assistant anyway. when i met gaga and gave her this giant bedazzled teacup, she literally filled it with hot water (with only one teabag, mind you) until it was basically spilling all over the place.

she just needs to stop. if i was in her shoes i would've done all of that **** for free.
