I think it's more likely to be about how she met Taylor and they wanted eachother, but they were both in relationships with other people. It could be a lesbian anthem though and I'd be here for it! Maybe she's singing those lyrics from the guy's perspective, like in You And I Let's wait and see/hear I never thought of that.
