Look at the Top 10 right now, most of the songs are old and newly discounted

Germans are soo stingy when it comes to music, they easily jump on every discount...

shes falling hard on itunes :( did radio drop her or something?

She is still on #7 on both Amazon and Musicload, which are also very popular in Germany like iTunes.

And concerning the discounts, don't forget that the single charts are created from turnover (sales x PRICE).

What is this German "Applaus" song?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSfpDlN8Fyg

It's a popular German band. They released the song some weeks before Gaga.

I think for this week, it's gonna be a tough race. Wake Me Up was discounted last week... We'll know this evening or tomorrow morning.

Single Chart Update (Revenue = Sales * Price)

Since Applause was in the lower positions of the Top 10 on all download portals last week, I don't think she can stay at #6. But I guess she had another week Top 10, also because the physical CD was release (although that is only 1,5% of sales ~ 5% of revenue/chart influence).

Katy still being blocked by Avicii for her next #1 hit in Germany since "Hot'N'Cold" (2008).

Miley is finally becoming popular in Germany.

01 (01) Avicii

02 (02) Katy Perry

03 (05) Olly Murs

08 (17) Martin Garrix

09 (06) POSSIBLY Gaga 35%

10 (06) POSSIBLY Gaga 20%

15 (new) Birdy

16 (39) Miley Cyrus (WCS)

17 (new) Gronkh & Sarazar

Americano

Hope she remains in Top 10. At least she'd be doing well in 1 EU country :laughga: Stan Germany, stan. Mess at Olly Murs being above her :smh:

Shes doing good in Italy/Norway/Sweden too and did well in Spain. Somewhat decent in UK.

Overall Applause was alright for Europe.
