She, herself, is a constant target of the loudest critics. I mean, she'd know how One Direction felt at that moment with all the jeers, which was supposed to be a celebratory one. The support she's getting from 1D's fanbase is merely an effect to that, a widely favourable one by the way. This was in no way staged. You can see her live reaction in the audience cam they had kept on her. She really was disappointed by the booing and I really think she saw herself in them atm.
