I agree... I really thought she could get that #1 album but oh...

I think Jessie J has gone down the path of Dr Luke 'generic' sound for the sake or more singles success, but that does not make for album sales.

I was wondering, what was the last single that NEVER had a TV performance in the UK ?

I only remember Lovegame and Alejandro.

I dont remember the promo for Paparazzi since i wasnt that much a fan then.

Think they are the only two  - Paparazzi had a radio live performance and a pre-release one on the album chart show :)

So odd that a lead single has been so ignored

Harry

I wouldn't really count Paparazzi tbh, it didn't have a TV performance around single release

It is bizarre that they just left Applause to fight on its own everywhere outside of the US. It just doesn't make sense and it is so unlike Gaga. Hopefully they're just saving all the big guns for single 2 to serve simultaneously as album promo and just wanted Applause as a kind of 'buzz single' for international markets...

If it wasn't for the iTunes Festival opportunity to showcase the album material, she wouldn't have even been over here at all yet.

UK hits are so weirdly out of sync now.

Singles that are big in America have mostly come and gone (Applause, Lana) or haven''t been released yet (Royals, WreckB,  Berzerk). UK artists like Jessie J out of top 10. Big album sellers like Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon have no single impact.

Just a bunch of 2nd tier US artists like One Republic, J Derulo, and Demi Lovato.

This has to happen. It just has to. There's no way they could possibly pass that up.
