Little Mix appear to have a new song out (based on how it suddenly jumped up).

I'm surprised they aren't still promoting album tracks from last album.

 

It's not from their album, it's the official Sport Relief charity single, a cover of the song by Cameo. It's available as a download from today but it'll also be available as a physical copy exclusively at the supermarket chain, Sainburys from tomorrow. That idea really helped Lily Allen's Somewhere Only We Know go to #1 and stay there because you could pick up the song on your trip to John Lewis (also explained why she was so high in the chart week after week even though the iTunes chart told a different story). It's a really good cover, but it remains to be seen if it'll actually go to #1. The UK are suckers for a charity single but from Little Mix, I'm not so sure, seeing as they're not the most popular choice. I roll my eyes over how the people selected for these outings are always one of the most popular British acts around at the moment who are already over-exposed and don't need all this extra promo. In LM's case, I think Syco are desperate for them to get another #1 since they didn't get any with their new album (and haven't had one since the lead single from their debut album), have still not had a #1 album and their overall sales are struggling.

The three acts join Shakira in the lineup for this year's live episodes, which kick off next Saturday (March 22).
